Has anyone else ever donned a tail while expecting? Just because 2 of the things that take up the most time in my life right now are Mermaiding and Baby-baking.
Just curious. If I'm not alone, I'd love to see pregnant mer pictures, since I'll be taking some myself probably in late June early July.

Also, how awesome is being a parent or an aunt or uncle?

My wife is one of those Earth-mother types. She went through chidbirth twice with no anesthesia, no epidural. She was afraid it would spoil her experience.

I'm planning on having a natural childbirth. I see no reason why my natural, normal bodily functions should 'cause me pain. Unless there's some kind of complication, I'd rather my son came into the world without his momma being all drugged up.
I have no fear of pain in this circumstance, which means there shouldn't be any.
When you're scared your body tenses up, causing muscles to tighten. A uterus is all muscles. I think I'll just relax and let my body do it's thing. :)

Hey, congratulations. I'm not pregnant, nor do I ever intend to be, but every so often some stranger will grab my big 'ole belly and coo "When are you expecting?" They're always so embarrassed when I correct them that I can never get mad, bless 'em.

However, a good friend of mine whom I have known since we were both six has recently become pregnant, and from an outside perspective it's very exciting in kind of an odd way. She seems to have the patience of a saint, because she's continually good-natured about all my stupid questions.

Good on you for the natural childbirth thing. As I've said I am not, nor have ever been, pregnant, so my opinion is of absolutely no weight on such matters, but for what little it's worth I think that that seems to be the way to go. A buddy of mine's mum had he and his sister the natural way and she is glad of it to this day. She had them both at home, in her own bed. She has pictures. I have seen them. In one of them you can actually see my friend crowning, and I in my ignorance asked if she was blowing a bubble. She laughed so hard her entire face turned purple and tears were running down her face. My friend was present at the time, and the whole thing had him kind of chagrined--even more so when I started calling him 'Bubble' as a nickname xD
