Hello out there. I am new to the mermaid community and am looking for someone around me i can swim with and get to know. im in the Mabank and Gun Barrel City. i live right next to the lake and cant wait till next summer when i get my very first tail and get to go swimming. would really like to know if there is another mermaid out here.

Hi! We have a HUGE mermaid community in DFW. Unfortunately there is a lot of drama and bullying and what not within our local community, so please be careful with the people that you decide to swim with. There's a lot of groups on Facebook for North Texas mermaids, but again you may or may not want to get mixed up with them. Not trying to scare you but giving you fair warning based on my own (and other people's) experiences, both old and new.

That said mermaiding is a very fun and rewarding hobby so don't let the idiots get to you.

I'm in Ft Worth but I enjoy visiting new waters.
