Remove/Replace old monofin

Hey everyone. I am looking for some help. I have a merrowfin partial silicone tail. I am wanting to take the monofin he put in, out and replace with my own one. I have no idea where to start. If anyone can offer me some advice i would be very greatful.

Is it a silicone tail where the two sides are sandwiched together?

If so, maybe you can use a sharp knife to slowly cut the seam where the two sides meet. And use silicone again to glue them back.
