First time making a tail

I'm new to this and have been doing research on how to make my own tail... But I want to do fabric and I have looked n looked all over but I can not find a good tutorial on how to make a fabric tail. Also what's the best stuff to use? And where to buy fabric that actually looks like a tail? I wanna make the fin flow but i have no idea what im doing. I have an idea in my head on how I want it to look but I can find the right fabric or anything I'm stuck.

It is best to use some swimsuit fabric as material, and take the monofin you already trained with (I suppose you have already?).
