Just a warning about "waterproof" bags from ebay....

So, I have been wanting a waterproof camera for a long time now. Since I didn't want to spend the money on it, I foolishly bought a "waterproof" camera bag off ebay, you know, like, a $3.25 one. At first I put it under the faucet, worked just fine, so I thought to put my camera in and submerge it in water in the sink. Big mistake. Lets just say the money I was going to use for a new tail, is now going towards a new camera.


I just wanted to put this out there so if you are thinking of getting one, you change your mind.

I'm so sorry you had to find this out the hard way :( You are not the first person to discover waterproof bags are... less then what they advertise and for certain things it's worth it to spend more to ensure it doesn't ruin other more expensive things. Look at this way sense you buying a camera now anyways might as well get a waterproof one :)

Ebay isn't the greatest place to shop if you're unsure about the product value or need a second
opinion. Usually if I do ebay shopping I check Amazon for a review of the item I'm looking for.
Since amazon allows people to review the products, you can usually get a fair estimate of what
to expect from something.

Well, God fixed my camera. I wanted to try turning it on one more time. So, as I put the batteries in I prayed, "God, please let this work!" What do ya know, it turned on and works perfectly fine! The most amazing part of it is that I tried this RIGHT AFTER I had gone camera shopping, and didn't find what I was looking for! God saved (along with tons of other things) me about $100! Ah, He is great!
