Ahoy from Norway

Hi, I'm Rin! I'm a cosplayer, artist, voice actor, singer, and now also an aspiring mer from Norway! I stumbled over this forum as I was doing research on how to make a mertail as I've wanted one since I was a kid.

I love learning new skills, especially crafting techniques, and wanted to challenge myself by starting this project, and it's been going fairly well so far! I haven started properly on the actual tail as I want to do a lot of tests and practice techniques before I use the more expensive materials.

So far I've sculpted some test fins and made epoxy molds to do silicone casting, and I'm now learning how to paint using airbrush and thinned, pigmented silicone.

I'm very excited to get to the point where I can actually begin making the tail!

I'm really excited about it! I have a monofin on the way for exercise purposes (I'll be making one myself for the tail) so that I can get better at the swimming technique without a full tail (I'm not sure if my local pool allows tails, but they're fine with flippers). ^_^
