So I recently emailed finfolk regarding Glaucus Atlanticus tail I have with major fabric separation. I asked some advice on best to fix it as I just wont let it go. The response I got was neither use to me nor helps me in my situation. Can I ask if anyone else have had any problems with finfolk in any way shape or form to voice your problems here. I may get some criticism but I'm ready for it. If anyone has had this problem and was able to fix it please could you share with me as I deeply love this tale and desperately want to fix her, or if anyone has any suggestions I'll be grateful. Here is the response I got from finfolk.

Hi, Yolanda!
Thank you so much for messaging us regarding this issue.
The only other time we've been contacted about a similar issue is with a single Golden Giza fabric tail purchased last year in our summer 2018 collection which this Glaucus Atlanticus tail was also a part of. As you might be aware, we had a few issues with our summer 2018 tail collection due to manufacturing errors as follows:
We switched to a white base neoprene to improve the color of tails when wet. We believe that when this switch was made, our producer selected a neoprene with less stretch of lower quality, which is why we had sizing issues, seam popping, and now this top layer of fabric separation.
Again, we have only seen this happen with two tails (yours included) out of thousands that were produced and unfortunately, we do not know what causes the separation in these very isolated cases.

We did our best to compensate customers affected by these manufacturing issues last year and switched to an upgraded neoprene that we have used for our fall 2018 and summer 2019 collections and have had significantly fewer issues. Any Finfolk tail that you buy right now will be made with this higher quality neoprene. In the coming year, we will be producing our fabric tails in house rather than by an outside production team so we hope to continue to improve the quality, fit, and construction of our fabric tails.

Because up until this point we have not produced or printed the neoprene for tails in house, we aren't as familiar with neoprene, how it's made, and how to fix separation like this. Our best advice would be to use resources regarding fixing neoprene available online.
We are so sorry that we can't offer more advice but we can guarantee that this will not be a common problem with current Finfolk fabric tails or future collections.
Since your tail order was one of those affected by this specific neoprene issue we are happy to offer this discount code specifically for folks affected by the manufacturing issues of last summer.

I was given a 15% off code which I find insulting.
I'm unable to upload pictures from my phone as it says the photo is too large. The separation is about 80% of the tail.

Hmm, sounds like an unusual case for sure, and possibly something to do with adhesion during the printing process. Do you happen to have photographs to share on this thread? Someone may have seen this phenomenon before and might be able to suggest a fix for it.

It’s not unusual as an issue for this tails and I believe ints not only about the 2018 fabric tails, as I am hearing about it a lot on Facebook from people having the Cleo and other designs.

Try to make a quick research on Facebook I think someone got an answer to this problem.

Yes because you have to use a stretching string if you want it to keep the stretch

Try gluing a small area with rubber cement. Rubber cement is what they use in wetsuits to keep the seams together before they stitch it in place.

Will it allow for the material to stretch?

Yes. But on the safe side, try a tiny area. They use it in wetsuit manufacture.

You can only put links in mernetwork. Pics won't work because they disabled that function.

I know the various monifins that fit, it was about the material separation I had. Was really bad about 90% of the tail.

Well I definitely have not been a member here for ages. And had that post been without that GIF image, I probably would have never noticed the picture.

I hate that this forum has been changed that you can't put pictures on like you used to.

Social media is killing forums like these. Unfortunately those very social media outlets, particularly Facebook, is extremely overloaded with hatred and political nonsense.
