I'm getting a brand new all silicone black and silver bra for my tail, as well as arm braces and a circlet! I'm super excited! But my question is- can female mers carry tridents? Was thinking of doing a siren theme so having a cool trident prop might be fun

Sure you can have a trident too. It is just a spear with 3 arrows on top and has nothing to do with your sex. The only thing that you need to be sure is that the length must fit your body and the weight should be reasonable (be theoretically able to throw it after someone). If you look into movies you see lots of females with trident. For example Arielle, her daughter Melody, the queen of Atlantis who is aqua man's mother and Mera.
