Hello lovely merfolk,

I decided on "Choro" to be my mermaid-name as I love dancing.

I got my first monofin (the Kat Hydra) this summer and I've started to swim with it a little bit and enjoy it a lot.
Does any one have any tips for where I can take apnoe-classes /monofin-swimming classes in southern germany as all the clubs I tried to contact seem to not be actively checking their mails.

I am also interested in tips for my first more "pretty" fabric tail. (I have one fabric one from the Mermaid Katshop, but it doesnt feel like it's really fitting to my 'mersona'")

thanks so much for all of the useful information I already could gather from this website :)

For diving schools there are different providers:

AIDA - https://www.aidainternational.org/
PFI - https://www.tdisdi.com/pfi/
SSI - https://www.divessi.com/de/get-certified/freediving

In theory you can also contact scuba diving clubs since they may have apnea groups.

Tell us what you are looking for. Maybe we can help.

Thank you so much! I will defintely check out those websites.
I actually finally got an answer from a local diving club right after I posted here :D So I'll go to my first Schnupper-Training next week hopefully :)

I come from the swing dance world and there it is super common to be able to book private classes from teachers if you want to advance faster or focus on a special thing or other reasons. They are not cheap but common.
Do you know if that is a part of diving/monofinning culture? Or would that be a super weird request?

In scuba diving, it was quite common for me to be the only student or only a few students (1-2) in specialty courses. However, the line Brevet courses might be larger groups.

However freediving might be different.
