Cheapest place to buy solid gold chains...

Wondering if anyone knows the very cheapest place to purchase solid (not plated) gold chains?
....I tried places like Riogrande but they have nothing at all in 3-5mm thicknesses. I collect coins /bullion so it just kills me to purchase a $1000 chain that has maybe $200 worth of gold to it. Wondering if there's a place where the premiums over the actual value of the gold is low.
