I've always liked the idea of a Scottish tower house style castle that was located on a lake island, with access from the water for the mermaid.

this is my dream home. my yacht. its got all that i need in it. a living room, a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, dining room, television, etc. and its compact and portable. :3 then again, boats are just big holes in the water that you pour your money into.

My dream home is on the Weeki Wachee river so I can kayak, swim in my fav water source, be close to family, and GET OUT OF TEXAS!

My dream home looks similar to my great uncle's house, only with a big swimming pond instead of the pool out back. But in that same area. And surrounded by a peony garden. :)

The one with water through it looks perfect for merpeople/human cohabitation. :D The mermaid/man could just swim through the house and humans could have dry areas and such.

Great pics here! I'm pretty plased with our current house, but I'd like it to be more spacious. Also, it would be great to have a place for a home gym, bigger patio and a pool.
