Sooooooo I'm rushing...Majorly..I have to get this has done with as possible by the 15th. I have fixed my monofin, Sewed on a belt on the inside and I sewed on some gold outlining the fin (not done) and I started the blue sequins at the top so I can sew the bottom half of the belt. But the side end up looking much better and tighter then the middle part which is very loose in some cases and looks just odd. Before I go any further. Please tell me does it look right? Close to it? or none at all? First time doing sequins and I'd love some advice.

Also what do I do to hide the white thread? They only had Black and White and White will hide better under the sequins but this is a bit ehhh :/

Also I've been doing this all by hand. One at a time with barely any sewing skills so I know I'm not excellent at it. So any tip will be wonderful <3

Looks nice so far, but since you have a dark tail already I would suggest using the black wire at the top line of sequins and white for the rest. I don't know if you are planning on doing your whole tail with sequins, but it's easier to start at the bottom of the part that needs the sequins, as the others will overlap that one, else you have to lift up the sequins all the time.
Good luck with your project!

I know you've done all this work already and it looks fine, but what if you switched to clear thread? I'm pretty sure it can be found at Wal-mart, hobby stores, etc. As long as it's not overly stressed it won't break too easily either. Otherwise it looks good to me.

A few tutorials for sewing sequins:
http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-sew-sequins-2 <--this one is the best to me.

Once you get into the groove it goes pretty fast. Good luck! :)

Thanks you guys :) Also I really had to do the belt before I went any further that way when the 15th rolled around I would oke with no having my butt show. I did start on my fin first so I already had that in mind but like I said I NEED to get that belt done. Also like I said all they had was black and white upholstery thread. I went to Walmart before and they had nothing stocked. So really that was all I could find.

But thank you guy for letting me know that I'm in the right direction <3
