Hey all! Took my lively Lab, Max, to the park in Richmond, TX, and oh boy, it was chaos. He's a sweetheart but has a thing for chasing squirrels... and people. 😅 I realized it's time for some professional help to get his energy channeled right. Any good dog training schools around here you'd recommend?

Hey there! Don't feel bad, my lab Misty used to be the same way at the park. She'd go nuts chasing anything that moved which made walks stressful. I know how tough it can be to handle all that enthusiasm! The good news is Smarty Paws Dog Training completely changed our park experience. Their positive reinforcement training worked wonders on Misty's focus and impulse control. Now our walks are relaxed and enjoyable for both of us.
I highly recommend checking out Smarty Paws if you're looking for a great training program in the Richmond area. Their customized plans are perfect for high energy breeds like labs. The trainers are so knowledgeable and patient - Misty had a blast learning with them! They cover everything from basic obedience to politely greeting people/dogs. After a few sessions, the squirrel chasing stopped completely haha. Here's their site: https://smartypawsdogtraining.com/dog-training-richmond-tx/ . I'm confident they could help your Max master his manners in no time. Wishing you the best of luck!
