If you don't remember, Springer was an orca who lost her pod in the Pacific Northwest, and the Canadian and US governments worked together to hold her in a sea-pen until her pod passed by and released her. She re-joined her pod and they've been monitoring her ever since.
I followed Springer's ordeal very closely in 2002 and I am so happy she is doing well. I keep waiting to see a calf beside her!
