How long do you think it would take to make a hand-sown, fabric mermaid tail? (and how long if it wasn't hand sown?)
And also paint it?
There is a cosplay pool party the 16th, I want to see if I got a chance to make it XD

I just hand sewed 2 entire tails..It surprisingly didn't take that long. Maybe less than and hour (for one tail)? However I reccomend stitching the tail twice so it will be a little more stable so overall at least 1 and a haft. Good luck! I want pics ;)
Oh that's awesome!! yesss!
I will be sure to post some :>

Do you already have the fabric? That can take a couple of weeks to receive after you order it. If you have everything, You can probably finish it up on a single Saturday. Give yourself 1 hour to take your measurements, 1 hour to create your template, 1 hour to mark, pin and cut your fabric and 1 hour to sew the seams. (And Aqua is absolutely right, sew it twice!) Unless you've done everything absolutely perfectly, you'll probably want an hour or 2 to try on the tail with fins and make any adjustments you need.

^ o thanQ! Do you have a walmart or joann's fabrics close by? they might carry spandex ;)
yeah, I'll have to go check them out. Hopefully they have a bit of variety.
they usually don't ;u;
However they do have some awesome shinny colors.

I guess it just depends on how you want to go about it. What it looks like, are you just making it/ painting it/ sequin-ing it/
sewing it shouldn't take long at all
