Public Pool and Latex allergies?

I'm getting a latex tail from Mermaid Parties, but recently I've been thinking. If I go swim in a public pool (just about all that's an option round here), will I be a danger to those who have latex allergies? I don't want to accidentally make anyone have a reaction.

I think so long as they don't touch or rub against it, it should be fine?

I think it will be fine. Just make sure kids ask before the touch your tail (say it's the salt on their hands that dries out your tail or something like that...I guess that's more of a frog thing but whatever)
