I just installed vBulletin 4.2.0. Here are some changes-
-The navigation bar has been changed
-"What's New" now leads to an "Activity Stream".
-I changed the reviews so they now have a WYSIWYG editor

There's lots of other minor tweaks. Some of this stuff might seem pretty different, so I made this thread to talk about the upgrade.

How does the activity stream compare to the "what's new"? Will it alert you to threads you haven't read yet or will it just show recent posts in the past few hours or so?

Edit/Never mind: Clicking on the upper right link for "Filter" answered my question. :)

I'm really liking the Activity Stream so far! :thumbs-up:

I find it a little bit confusing, but I suppose I can learn to like it :)

I see this Activity Stream, but I see that it shows all activity even after viewed. I have a feeling I am going to be missing a lot of threads due to this new development. So currently I'm not huge fan as I liked having a simple list of this is what I have not read & once I read it it goes away. However everything else seem wonderful per usual :)

I just keep checking either "posts today" or "unread posts" to see what I've missed :)

There is an unread posts section? I have not found it then... hmm this requires more looking.

oh don't be silly. you have no idea how many times so many people look for something only to realise it's staring them in the face. I did it only yesterday with a TV Remote. Spent a good 10 minutes looking for it.

any chance of making this forum work with Tapatalk?

Maybe. Tapatalk and similar software are compatible with vBulletin, but users have to pay for the full version of the app. There's a free version, but it doesn't let you post on the board.
