Hello everyone!
I know lots of mers keep a blog about making their tails and I thought they were so inspiring and wonderful to follow that I would start one for my third tail! So, this is what I am planning.....I am going to make a neoprene mint green tail, but covered in rainbow coloured sequins (like Hannah Fraser tails) although I dont think mine will look anything like her wonderful creations! But I will try my best! It am hoping it will have a nice design to the colours, not just scattered about. I am also planning to make a matching sequin top. I am seeing some gorgeous designs but its so hard in the UK to find the materials over here - I love the USA so much as have visited several times and you have some great stuff over there!
well - I have bought my sequins from Cartright's and they came yesterday (thank you for your links on this forum - they are great!) and I also bought some of that drawer liner stuff that hannah fraser uses (I had to get that shipped aswell!) wow the postage costs are dear! but it will be totally worth it :-)
so, am going to order my neoprene soon, luckily I have a source in Wales I use, so will keep you posted and hopefully put a pic of my design on here soon too.

I suggest making your own monofin. Then you can get it to any shape you want :)

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for neoprene and sequins I suggest searching it on google or looking on the how to page on here for something you like. The materials page has a lot too.

For the seams you can either sew side fins or put more sequins there. Sorry I can't really help you with the zipper because i don't use one :$ but what was that about a belt? Are you asking how to make one or something else? (sorry my brain has been fried this week)

How do you sew neoprene ?
For the belt, it's like in Hannah Fraser's tails. It maintain the tail to your body ;)

I don't know about a belt but there is a page on sewing neoprene itself (http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?574-Archive-quot-Sewing-Neoprene-quot&highlight=sewing+neoprene) I hope that helps
