Newbie Question: Notifications

Hello here, coastal mist. I was curious to know what exactly I am getting notifications about. I know i get them for private messages, but i was wondering if i also get them when people on a post of mine, or somebody else comments on a post i have commented on. I suppose i will figure this out after somebody comments to this, :P, but please help! Thanks guys!

nope best thing to do is subscribe to your own threads :)

"Thread Tools" right at the top right of the first post, under it is "Subscribe to this thread" :)

I just read everything lol. And in the "New Posts" page there is an icon with a small green arrow on the envelope if you've posted in that topic before.
