Just tonight I e-mailed a very old friend. I just realized how long ago it has been. I met him in 1977 when we were in elementety school. He moved to Florida in 1983 and I just tonight thought about how many yers ago that was. That was 29 years ago this year that he moved from here. The e-mail I sent was simple. I said "I miss you my friend" That is so incredibly true. I truely do miss my old friend.

ray! i know how you feel.

i have a friend named bill, who lives in lake charles LA, we met playing world of warcraft, in a firefly guild, i have a few friends from there, about 4 years ago i let my subscription run out by accident and didnt have the money to play for a month, so i logged on to the voip channel and let them all know i would be away for a little while, well i came back on about 2 weeks later to say hi and they were all offline, they had switched to a new voip program and i wasnt online so they couldnt tell me, i would log on every few days to see if they were back, and pulled the money to get a new wow card. they had also changed to a new game someone told me, as there was some massive fight between them and a rival guild. i felt truly abandoned and upset but just incase they did still like me, i kept logging on to the voip program. about 6 months later, after i had well and truly given up, i logged on out of habit and there was bill!

he had been coming on every few days too and we kept missing each other, the voip program didnt have a mail system so we were really ships in the night.

he told me what game they were playing and program they were using, so i logged on and there they all were! i was so happy and they were so happy to see me too. i had learned that the only other girl, elizabeth, who lived in lake charles too, had moved to new zealand as she had fallen in love with one of the guys from the guild who lived there, at last check they were getting married!

well i moved house, to live with my boyfriend and with that came no internet. so i went past my mums every few days to log in and say hi, until i got the net at my new home.

about 3 months into my new home i went on a week holiday with my boyfriend, when i came home, i took a few days then went to mum and dads, logged in, and everyone was gone again, they were not playing the new game, probably moved back to wow, but were not using their old characters. i did as i had before and kept logging in.

that was two years ago.

i know bills full name and his old address, the address before that and that he works in a casino, but i think he has moved again, i sent snail mail to each of his known addresses and one to his old email address, i even found his sisters phone number a few weeks ago but im too afraid to call and say "hi, i knew your brother, can i have his phone number?"

i desperately want to find him as i know that even if everyone else was waiting for me to be gone long enough to cheese it, bill was certainly not like that. but for someone who plays alot of online games he is impossible to find online.

hes in his 50's and not the most healthy fellow, so, and this is a really strange thing to say, im worried that he will die before i find him...

i miss my friend.

Every Wednesday night, I chat online with my best friend and his brothers. We were all close, when we lived near one another. My friend and I were close from second grade up until college, when we went our separate ways. Still, every Wednesday we crack open a cold one, catch up on old times, quote Monty Python, and generally geek out.
