I personally wouldn't bother with mermagica, i'm really not a fan of their tails. But I agree with Aeolius go and check out mermaid Parties, Stevi is also making my tail and it looks amazing! She will make it to your own design and the results look great! Good Luck

Do they come with a monofin? An should I get a fabric tail or the other type?

It completely depends on what style of tail you want. You can buy then without a monofin, with churchil fins or an oceanika monofin. Check out her website www.mermaidparties.com. I personally went for the latex tail because it looks and feels far more realistic then a fabric tail, but it slightly more exspensive. But for the quality of the tails and the service she gives, her tails are worth every penny!

I don't think that is the page you were talking abou. It took me to a page called Miami Mermaids,An the page says nothing about selling tails.

I have heard several good reviews about mermaid parties but I never ordered a tail from them myself. I definitley wouldn't go with mermagica, though. I ordered a tail from them a while back and it was WAY to big. I have heard that other people have had the same problem.

I would recomend http://www.meerjungfrauenschwanzflosse.com/ I have gotten two tails from them and I am EXTREMELY happy with them. The lady was very nice to email with, the shipping was a fast as it could be, the colors are bright and vibrant, the monofin is very comfortable (although I have heard from some people that it bugs them), they are very realistic, and they are overall just wonderful tails. I will most likely be getting my next tail from them too.

Woops sorry for this mistake! I have a magic tail too. I love it but unfortunately I have 2 holes in the heels and have only swum in in once! Sad times! :(

Just a question but why not Mermagica? I want something that looks nice and pretty fast. I also found out that Mermagica's tails come with a finis monofin. So if the skin goes to hell I still have the monofin and can get a latex or silicone later for my funds are not the greatest for now. An also Mermaid parties doesn't have a monofin that will fit me. She said it would be a set of Churchill fins are the only ones that will fit me as i have a 10 1/2 foot.

I would usually say that it would be fine, but I heard that Mermagica had some scamming issues. For more information on the scam, here is someone's review-> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110610101344AAFRVPJ
So, no. You shouldn't buy one. My favorite mermaid tails are sold at http://mermaid.magictail.de/ .
If you happen to be an H2O fan, they have tails in a color exactly like the ones from the show. I have one from there and it was worth my money.

Well that was over a year ago and they prefer paypal now.I have been talking with mermagica alot and getting my questions answered. an if I go with Mermaidparties it's going to take a month at min or more and my swim time is cut in half if I wait for them.

So get mermagica! :) You sound like you've already made up your mind. And like you said, you still have a working monofin with one of their tails. You can also paint or decorate the tail you get from them or make a new tail skin with the monofin.

Well it started out I just wanted advice on what colors to pick, then it turned into a reveiw. Which i didn't want by the way. Mermagica dragon tail has only some colors to choose from an I sure don't want pink. One color for the body and tail and another color for the dorsal fin. any ideas? This link is to the Dragon tail. Any help picking colors would be great.

Well, I think you should go with the kelp green. The picture of the color looks very pretty and it looks like it has more depth than the other colors.

I think you guys were correct. I was looking at the reviews on mermagica and it doesn't look so good. I only have about $150 to play with an I want another tail .What can you suggest for around that price? There shipping is crap and it takes longer than what they say. So I'm looking else were to buy one.

Lol I would make you one for $150. I don't have a portfolio to provide for my work though. :P

Might I suggest this page? http://mernetwork.com/index/content.php?133-mermaid-tailmakers
For $150 maybe Aquatails might be a good choice. Or you can save a little more and try for a Mermaid Parties tail.
There's also http://merfolktails.com/ (FoxMoon Productions) and...
...http://www.the2tails.com/tails-for-sale/products/big-fluke-tail <- This one is exactly $150
