Mermaid Dottie

So Anime Banzai is the local animecon where I live. It comes every october, and I was hoping to go along with the theme this year, which is Japanese Mythology.
My only problem is, What do I cosplay as?
There are several aquatic based demons or spirits in japanese culture (along with several others ranging from terrifying to comical).
Here is my list that I gathered;
Water Based
Amikiri- Net-cutting spirit. Protects ocean creatures from humans.
Funayurei- Ghost of someone who died at sea.
Isonade- barb-tailed sea creature.
Kappa- see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kappa_(folklore))
Kawa-uso- A supernatural river otter. I imagine it as something like a selkie from Irish folklore.
Mizuchi- A Water Dragon
Ningyo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ningyo)- a Japanese version of the mermaid.
Nure-onna- A female snake-like monster who appears on the shore.
Shoujou- Not really for me, but It reminded me of a friend. A red-haired sea-sprite who is very fond of alcohol.
Others
Harionago- A woman with a thorn-like barb on the tip of each strand of her hair
Jorogumo- a Spider woman
Kirin- Chinese Unicorn. I've always loved this depiction (http://neondragonart.com/Art/archive_selectart/kirin.jpg).
Kiyohime- A woman who transformed into a serpent demon out of the rage of unrequited love.
Tenin/Tenshi- Japanese version of a western Angel or Fairy.
Yosei- the Japanese word for fairy.
Yuki-onna- a snow woman.
It's just so hard to decide... and then the whole design process.....
Can you guys help me?
