I'm in NorCal, in Oakland! I know Atlantis over in SF has a group called the NorCal Narwhal Pod, which I think is cute :)

I know this is sort of an old post. But there's a spot about an hour away from my hometown that's BEAUTIFUL and has some of the clearest natural water I've seen. Not many people know about it, but there are usually always a few groups of people there. I used to swim in it every chance I got despite it being cold. I found a few pictures of it online thankfully :) (I used to have a gopro underwater video of the place and it's so clear with fish that'll swim right next to you).

To be part of the Narwhals, you must either have a swimmable mer tail, or be actively making one. You must also attend two meet ups per year :)

I'm in Santa Rosa which is Sonoma County, which is north of SF and Marine counties. We have a heated pool here (except for December-February it's closed) Nice and warm at 84° if any wants to come swim with me and my merchildren. I'm working on swim tails for all of us :)

I live in Santa Rosa too. I love the NorCal Narwhal pod and go to as many swims as I can make but it would be fantastic to know some closer mers.
