Hey gang...
I thought we should start a thread and share ideas/pics etc about how we would have our dream "mer-home" (wow I just sound gayer and gayer the more I let myself go into this world hehehehe)
I figure we can put pics of things that inspire us, furniture, wall treaments, lighting, ideas, descriptions, etc.
Here are some to start with. lemme know if you guys like this idea! :)

that bed is epic!!!! i'm planning on getting a papasan chair minus the base and making a mer-swing with it. kind of like a tire rope swing...meets a wicker cage....then im draping fishing net around the edges and tying on starfish and seashells all over the place. :D

I dream of having a large lit aquarium sunk into the floor of a 2nd story room, that hangs thru the ceiling of the room below which is a bedroom, so you could watch the fish swim above you as you sleep, or sit and watch the fish from above while you sit at the edge of their pool.

that table was on amazon for months for 130.00$ but it recently sold. you should try there to see if the store selling it gets any more in. i was going to get it for my back yard but missed it.

My gram has one of those tall windows in her basement. Where a hole was dug around the window, so the window is big and you can climb out of it. We are thinking of turning it into a fake aquarium. So You look out the window and instead of seeing dirt, you see fish (the plastic kind)! :D

:drool: I LOVE the beds... And the idea of the aquarium in the ceiling is genius (albeit a little scary)... you'd really feel underwater! And just think of staring through that water on starry nights....

Or I'd be all over a bed that looks like a sunken ship, that you either lay on top of or climb inside of (I looove secret places...I'm a dork) to find a plush roomy 'cabin'...;)

Wow!! I LOVE the shell sink and the jellyfish lamps. I always wanted to make

I just got a new "Jellyfish Lamp" from Discovery Kids... my grandmother gave it to me cause she didn't want it after she realized she'd have to set it up! hahaha... it's like a fish tank with a color-changing light inside. It's great... the little jellyfish keep me entertained as I drift off to sleep

Mermaid Serinessa: That picture reminds me of my great aunt/ uncle's house! The bathroom in the basement is decorated to look like an aquarium- turquoise walls with painted on fish, plastic fish everywhere, fish netting draped over the window. Everyone's supposed to change down there after swimming to avoid ruining the old wooden floors in the rest of the house. My favorite part is the little anchor used as a hook to hold the window up and open, even though it can be annoying when I need to change really fast and the anchor is stuck :lol:.
