Who knew? Helium isn't a renewable resource, and it could be all gone in the next 25 years! The only reason it's so cheap is because the US is selling it a a ridiculously low price to get rid of the reserves it has. Unfortunately it's reserves are half of what's left on the planet.

That's awful! I must confess that I love me some balloons, I feel so happy whenever I see a balloon even though I know it's not always the most eco-friendly thing.

Oh I'm sure someone will come up with an alternative or find a way to scientifically produce it. People love balloons to much to let them die due to something as silly as the m having no way to float. Don't think I'll ever be able to look at balloons the same way again.

Helium is created by alpha decay in radioactive elements. We'll have plenty if we ever get fusion plants online. Right now, the biggest source is from natural gas. The increase in Trimix certified tec divers is also boosting demand.

Dear christ I hate balloons so much.
I kinda hope it becomes rare enough so they can't use them for balloons anymore xD

Sorry guys, haha.

I hate balloons if I have to blow them up, it hurts my jaw. But filled with water they are fun to whip at neighbors riding their bikes past the house at nine o clock. :D
