First Offical Gig

[Mermaid Star]

So I have done a gig before, for The Devil's Carnival but I was just recently approached to perform as a mermaid for Ocala's "Save the Art Walk" event on September 13th from 6pm-8pm! Now it is non-paying as it is to help save the art walk and is a charity event. So I will be donating my services. BUt they said they would cover my gas (which is great since it is about an hour away and I will be missing work to do the event. But the event is really important to a friend of mine and she asked me to help her out (since she is on the board for the art walk). The great thing about this gig that I was not expecting, I will be shot for Ocala Magazine, Ocala Style & Ocala Star Banner at the event! I am so stoked! This will be my first newspaper publication as a mermaid. :yay:

That would be awesome! Though I would be such a wimp if I had to get into the ocean. LOL Though it would be a nice break from the 100 degree weather :P
