By the way, I LOVE what they had to say about our "precious" Finis ;D Then again, these people are mostly hard core enthusiasts and competitors, so the Rapid is probably like a kid's fin to them, and the competitor isn't nearly customizable enough to be up to snuff.

It's refreshing to see that the Competitor isn't the only option out there for a legit monofin. Thanks for this!

I'm missing the dol-fin monofin. I guess it wasn't professional enough, though I love it.

can the finis wave be used in fabric tail or is it important to find one with the mermaid tail shape. Is it possible to find a plastic mermaid tail that works in all fabric tails?

The Ocean Star, can be ordered through me, I also sell regular monofins ;) I designed this fin to look soft underneath fabric, with out hard edges sticking through, it can be used on its own and it has been made from the same products as the top monofin in the industry - so quality is assured xx see the link in my signature for another view xx

Where can I buy a mahina monofin?

I bought mine directly from Mahina Mermaid ( https://www.mahinamermaid.com/ ).

Be aware that they're an Australian company and ship direct from Malaysia, so shipping to the US takes about 2 weeks.

This is a super old post from 2012 ;) It hasn't been updated for newer monofins.
