Kanti is a member here who made a very detailed tutorial on this topic. Look her up in the members list and her profile will tell you which threads she's started.

my point is, there isnt anything to add yet. Kanti's is the most comprehensive guide so far. This is one of those questions that get asks frequently, so looking at her thread is probably the best. There arent any tutorials beyond that to share. Only a handful of people have actually successfully made tails with platinum silicone, while everyone else is experimenting and trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Commercial tail makers dont (or at least havent yet) shared tutorials. However, youtubing related concepts like mould making and looking at the dragonskin tutorial videos explains a huge portion of it.

There's more than one expert. Mermaid Raven obviously knows her way around silicone rather well.
At any rate, I'd still say read kanti's thread, it's the most put together tutorial on the subject here. Any questions you may still have can probably be answered by the manufacturers of the supplies themselves. I know the website where dragon skin silicone is sold has a TON of how to videos when it comes to working with molds and such.
