I couldn't already find a thread on this but someone please tell me if there is. Post your favorite places to swim, or places you would love to swim.

Well in the Duluth area, the best place to swim is probably just the lake. we've got 5 miles of beach, and then another half mile of rocky beach. All the natural ponds here are kinda dirty due to dirt runoff from the hills.
Around Lake Superior, my favorite place to swim is the Apostle Islands. The water there is extremely clean and its the perfect temperature, not too hot, not too cold. and a lot of the islands are mostly empty, so you can claim one for a day and just hang out. Those are really the only places I've swam.

Around Lake Superior
You lucky mer.
The Great lakes are stunning.
I'd prefer them over all tropical resorts (dengue, malaria, encephalitis free delivery there),
if only they weren't so cold.
Ye, you said "not too warm, not too cold", but aren't the lakes around 13°C in summer (and 4°C the rest of the year)?
That's not what I'd call "not too cold" to be honest :D
