well that's not bad is you go later in the day. does it ever get comfortable swimming season up there? i'm probably near the same latitude, just on the opposite shore...and was surprised to find the water here wasn't bad at all.

No it is not bad....and I do go swimming all the time just in the rivers is better than the lakes......but most people don't like them because they are colder.....going in the ocean is fun though....

Hey Eutha. I'm Mermaid Lexia out of The Albany/Lebanon area. Not too far from you. Seems mermaids are few and far between in our area though. We should try to fix that

yeah I kinda feel alone too, it's hard to find merfolk nearby... So thankful for this forum!
I'm pretty close to portland, but besides driving through it when I drove up from California I don't think I've been to Eugene. lol

Maybe we should find a place in between where we are and find a lake or something to splash around in for a day? PICNIC!

I wouldn't mind driving down to splash with you all. I'd love to meet as many people as possible. I'd have to ask for a couch or something to crash on though since the drive would be 6-7 hours. Haha.

Ooo. Lincoln City is a great place. Went there this summer and the water was surprisingly warm. Really big beach

The warm water in Lincoln City happens every few years... Posideon's head must equilize with his surroungings and allow him to realize the water is too cold...? Sweet Home has some beautiful streams with patches that look like tropical lagoons(cept for the foilage 'round the edges) and there's another hot water spring in the Umpqua(it IS clothing optional though...)

I'm in the Beaverton area but my brother recently was accepted to UofO so I'll be in the Springfield/Eugene/Cottage Grove area more and more often until I myself leave for college. There's always Cottage Grove lake and I swam in Crater Lake this summer and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I'm going back once I have my tail....
