Here's my story/rant/complaining:

So I have a Magictail. It came with a monofin, monofin cover, bathing suit, and the tail itself. I LOVE it, but sadly, I came to a sudden realization... The monofin rusts. There's screws on the back of it, and as I was looking at it yesterday I realized that the screws rusted and stained the monofin cover (it's white). I emailed the company and got a reply, and she told me that if I have pictures, hopefully I can get it replaced due to the warranty. So before getting a Magictail, consider this thread!

Rewrite them and tell them to use stainless steel screws they will not rust or stain the tail. A little more expensive but in the long run no stains on the tail.

That's unfortunate :( I hope you can get a replacement! It's one of those things you have to think about when building a DIY monofin. Though I think I've seen people mention putting down a bit of silicone to cover metal pieces to keep them from rusting before, using something like GE silicone or aquarium silicone. So for anyone concerned about the rust problem you could try that.
