Forgot to mention that i have started with a natural "penicilline" that is very easy to make in your kitchen.
I started with it 2 nights ago since i still have stomache problems.
Since i started i have not had stomache problems anymore and i feel a lot better.
Here is the link for anyone interested:
http://www.food.com/recipe/natures-penicillin-285788
My mom is also making a natural "penicillin" but hers is a lot more complicated and has to be set in a dark cold room for 2 weeks while she turns it up side down every day.
No idea what hers will taste like or how it will work for the body.
But i will keep you all updated.
I do believe the UV disinfection systems are already on the market... At least, they've been used extensively in various hospitals as trial runs.
I'd love to have a home air purifier I could put essential oils in, I have a nice blend called On-Guard from DoTerra, and it's rather nice... Helped get rid of my stye, finally, and seems to speed the healing of cold sores as well!

Adalira, it sounds like something we use at our home. They're called "Diffusers", and the oils probably are the Young Living Essential Oils. They are being used at a hospital in Europe
to clean the air, and also intravenous in some cases I believe. They are pure, and tested, like the man described. PM if you want to know more.
Yep, Young Living is the brand I was using last year (what my mom had gotten me for the previous Christmas). After I ran out, this Christmas she got me the same blend from DoTerra because her neighbor sells it, plus I like the DoTerra On-Guard more than Young Living's Thieves' Oil, because of the one thing that's different - DoTerra uses Wild Orange for the citrus in their blend, while Young Living uses Lemon in theirs. Both are equally effective, but I like the smell of Wild Orange better, LOL!

Yes it is!
The diffuser we have looks like this:
https://younglivingwien.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/4908502-round-diffuser.jpg
You just lift the "bobble" and drop a few drops of the oil in it, and start it.
You can use it for diffusing, yes, as well as other things... I dilute it with other oils like coconut oil or grapeseed oil (or sometimes in witch hazel during summer) to apply directly to skin, because it's very strong and can damage your skin is applied without diluting. I haven't diffused it, because I don't have a diffuser, but I imagine you just put some drops in with the water. My mom got a teeny tiny diffuser for Christmas, and she diffuses her essential oils in it every day.
On-Guard (and Thieves' Oil) is a blend of various essential oils: http://www.doterratools.com/on-guard-products/protective-blend/ (http://www.doterratools.com/on-guard-products/protective-blend/)
Some nice info on this page: http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil
Here's a handy guide to what various essential oils work for different ailments: http://doterra-oil.blogspot.com/p/essential-oil-usage-guide-z.html . I have literally DOZENS, possibly over a hundred, bookmarks on what to do with essential oils :)
I love using it in homemade mouthwash - I can't stand pretty much any commercial mouthwash, and this has been the only thing to halt the progress of tooth decay for me (my family has weak teeth - I just got all the bad genetics). I also gave some to a backpacking hippie/gypsy kid last summer at a festival; he had a decaying tooth that was causing him lots of pain, so I made up some mouthwash with this and my special black and red salts, and he pretty much felt better instantaneously :) This stuff works wonders. Seriously, it kept me not-sick all last year; my immune system only took a dip when I ran out PLUS daily stress factors increased.

Young Living oils are pure enough so you don't have to dilute them, (you can if you want to) they won't damage your skin.
I had an accident were my arm got cut open really bad, and my mom dropped lavender oil (from young living) on it to stop the bleeding, that's how pure they are.
You really shouldn't do that with regular "nice-smelling lavender oil" from some random shop though.

I am not sure i get it though. I am looking through the oils but i don't see an essential oil that cleans the air from bacteria and such.
I do see the diffusers though and they look awesome :-)

The Thieves oil do, it's a blend. It's the one they used at the hospital. It also has been used to get rid of mold.

Actually, only certain essential oils can be used "neat" (without dilution). One of them is lavender, another is tea tree oil (melaleuca), and I think clove may be one of them. Even Young Living's website advises to dilute the oils, and they give the dilution amounts for various methods throughout the site:
"How to Use
(http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)For dietary, aromatic, or topical use. When using as a supplement, dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid such as goat's or rice milk. Diffuse for short periods of time (1/2 hour or less) in the work or home environment. Possible skin sensitivity. If pregnant or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Always dilute before applying to the skin or taking internally. Keep out of reach of children. (http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)
Product Tips (http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)
Put a few drops of Thieves essential oil blend in a capsule and swallow with water to support your immune system (http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)
Put in a few drops of Thieves essential oil blend in your dishwater or dishwasher to thoroughly clean dishes and eliminate odor (http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)
Diffuse Thieves essential oil blend for 15–30 minutes in your home or office to help eliminate airborne bacteria" (http://www.youngliving.com/en_US/products/essential-oils/blends/thieves-essential-oil)
Most essential oils are extremely potent and some can damage your skin or even your organs or nerve systems if applied neat! In the Thieves' Oil/On-Guard, there is cinnamon and lemon - both can greatly irritate your skin if applied directly, and especially if you have very sensitive skin (as I do). Some of these can literally burn your skin. I mixed 10 drops On-Guard to ~Tbsp. of coconut oil to apply to the (very sensitive) problems I've been having on my face lately - for example, the stye: DO NOT WANT to put strong cinnamon and citrus oil in my eye! Diluted = all good. Same with the cold sores - too strong an application could literally burn the wound and scar my lip! So this dilution in particular is good for very sensitive areas, and I can use it multiple times in a day. I may even up the amount of essential oil, since it is quite diluted - I've been slowly adding in more as I test it, to be sure I don't start off with too high of a strength :p
ALSO, citrus oils, when applied, make your skin more photosensitive, which means you need to protect the application site from sunlight/UV light for at least 12 hours to avoid getting sun damage/sunburn there!!!! However, when applied to a sunburn, Thieves' Oil spray pulled the sunburn out of skin during an event last year (on both myself and others).
DO NOT USE FRAGRANCE OIL IN THE SAME WAY AS ESSENTIAL OIL! Fragrance oil is concentrated perfume. (although there are some lovely quality fragrance oil makers such as BPAL, they are not the same thing) Essential oils are not extracted for their scents (which sometimes smell nothing like the original plant), but for their medicinal qualities. Essential oils are the strongest natural medicines we have, and should be treated with some caution - I've ended up in the hospital because someone was diffusing an oil they shouldn't have been in a public area. I had to convince doctors that "no, I don't take drugs, my test must be coming back for them because of the essential oils in the place I visited yesterday". That's how strong these things can be! There's even warnings against using essentials oils on small children :sweat drop:
They can be used effectively to eliminate flea problems... BUT NOT ON CATS. Cats don't have the same detox system humans or dogs do (they're missing some random gene that allows them to process certain things). DO NOT USE ESSENTIAL OILS ON A CAT. Keep kitties out of a room you are diffusing, just to be safe. Citrus oils are very toxic to cats, but pretty much all essential oils are bad for cats, and should not be used unless you have scientific experience with what you're doing, LOL! :p Dogs are fine with most essential oils, though, but I would check up online before using any you're not sure about on a dog.
...Sorry if I ramble about essential oil safety, but it's a serious thing if you mess around with the oils a lot, especially once you get past the basic three (tea tree, lavender, and clove)! I've been working with essential oils and herbs for many years, and have done much research on the matter, natural remedies are kind of my calling in life. I actually felt quite defeated when I had to go get antibiotics, as it's the first time in about 3 years that I've actually had to go to the doctor :cry:I felt like I failed as an herbalist, but then modern medicine really did evolve to supplement natural medicine, after all...

To add to this, on the flip side of cats themselves having bad times with essential oils (and also iodine, apparently), they're great for cat scratches and will help prevent infection :)

Maybe a weird question, but i found a recipe online to make the Thieves oil myself by mixing the essential oils.
Would that work?
Here is the recipe:
http://www.easy-home-made.com/thieves_essential_oils.html
Also, could i buy a different diffuser for it other than the one from the yound and living website? Since theirs are a bit pricey for me.
And if i would buy the essential oils myself what should i be looking for in terms of kind of essential oils?
I am looking on a website now that says theirs are 100% pure and natural.

Yes, another diffuser would work, as long as it isn't one that heat them up.
I would not use any other brand of essential oils for this kind of use than the oils form Young Living. You are looking for oils that for sure are 100% therapeutic grade.
It's the only way you can use them on your skin and in your body knowing they are not harmful.
Young Living for example only use plants grown on their own plots, that have been free from all kinds of toxins for at least 50 years.
Here's a good link if you want to read some more.

Also, yes, you can blend your own thieves oil, but you're not guaranteed the same results as of the "official" one. It all depends on what oils you're using.

I will make my home in a bittersweet castle in the very nourishing Chocolate Sea, living in harmony with the Chocolafins and Chocowhales. And when I am Empress of Chocolatonia, I will rule with wisdom and benevolence. (As long as the populace pays their hefty chocolate taxes.)

Still battling breast cancer and other related health issues.. If I ever get through this,I'm treating myself to that tail! We got an above ground pool on sale last fall so hopefully we will have a nice summer and I can use it to get back to health again and work on my swimming to get ready for that "bucket list" tail! Seems so far off while I'm sitting here freezing my fins off in Ohio...brrr
 I know how tough that can be, Michelle, I had a loved one fight breast cancer as well (she won!). I think a tail would be a lovely treat for when you're done with all your treatments etc., such a transformative experience! You should totally get yourself a dream tail - get a custom from Finfolk or Merbellas or whoever strikes your fancy, it will make you feel like a brand-new mer <3

Just night before last I accidentally overdosed on some of my meds. I had taken a nap after I took my meds the first time, then I woke up again and thought it was the next day (for some reason) and took my meds again. I was up from 2 Am yesterday morning until 5 AM today retching everything that went down back up. At some points I was just vomiting pure stomach acid. I still feel feverish and gross. :( I hate having to take so much medication for how young I am.
Oh no, Tolgarr! That really stinks! Are you ok? It totally sucks doing that thinking-its-the-next-day thing when taking meds :(

Yes, I'm fine now Miyu. Not too bad of an overdose, but it did suck. Actually, I just took my ADHD meds for the first time in my life. I can finally think. I'm calm for the first time in my life. This is amazing to me. I'm not constantly thinking at a thousand miles a second. It's pretty great. I still can't eat solid things because of an upset stomach, but the pill and some pudding stayed down. So that's good. I'm kinda just relaxed now. It's great.

I'm starting to hate my knees... Walking is fine for me, running a little less, but when I have to get onto my knees for something they hurt, which they didn't a few days ago. They also make scary cracking noises when I walk up the stairs, even my cat got scared from them. Luckily it doesn't hurt to bad when I walk up the stairs. But I'm getting a bit worried that it might be something bad as it has been like this for a few days now, normally its only one day when I worked a lot on my knees. My left knee is worse then my right knee. I hope with a weekend of rest that they will stop being scary

Not sure if this belongs here or over in 'b*tch it out', both sort of apply.
My mother-in-law doesn't take my wheat allergy seriously. I had a terrible reaction at Thanksgiving where I spent about 15-30 minutes curled up in bed, struggling to breathe while my baby had seizures inside me. She doesn't think it could possibly be as bad as I say because I didn't demand to be taken to the ER. Guess what, MIL? I have several remedies on me at all times that work like a natural epi-pen. What exactly would rushing to the ER serve? Perhaps it would have been wise, but I have a serious phobia of hospitals, so I'm never going to suggest going to one. Needless to say, I've basically put myself on house arrest, and I only eat food that either I cook or that came from a completely gluten-free kitchen.
And here's the kicker: There's a woman at my old church (she's one of many reasons I left) that hates my guts. Snacks were always brought, and due to myself and several other gluten sensitive people (at least a quarter of the church), snacks are supposed to be gluten-free. This woman (I'll refer to her as R) shows up with a king cake last year, and made a big fuss when she was told not to serve it. Since then, she refused to talk to either me or my mom (who confronted her about the cake), and would consistantly glare at me everytime she saw me.
Now, since I no longer go to that church, R gave MIL a baby quilt to give to me. WTF??? Maybe I have a suspicious mind, but I have to think that she did something to it. Why would someone who obviously hates me (there have been several overtures made to fix the relationship, all of which were turned down) send me a gift?
Both my husband and MIL think I should just 'turn the other cheek' and 'do the Christian thing' and accept the blanket as a peace offering. I ask you, why does the victim in the situation always have to be the one who 'does the Christian thing'?? If my suspicions are correct, and R did spike the blanket with flour, my unborn child could die, or at the very least, I'll be going into labor in the midst of a full-blown reaction (I'm 8 1/2 months). Which brings us back to MIL not thinking my allergy is serious.... Because she thinks that that last sentence would just be me being dramatic!
As of now, I'm having my mom pick up the blanket just so it can be thrown away. I don't need this sh*t right now...

Aziara, I'm so sorry about the problems with your MIL.
And regarding R, I would do the same thing as you did. I most definitely would not take "a gift" from someone who intended to do me harm in the past. Your health and your baby's is damn more important than doing "the Christian thing". You do no owe that woman anything.
Maybe have your mom wash the blanket and donate it to Goodwill or something like that? Probably someone would give it good use.

Aziara first of all, congratulations on having a baby soon! Second of all I am so sorry to hear about your MIL and R. I wonder if you could take your MIL to the doctor with you so the doctor could 'verify' that you really do have a severe allergy? I don't know if that is okay by you but people don't tend to take my word seriously and so I generally just drag them places like the doctors if I know them well enough. Meanwhile stay safe!

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been having anxiety attacks and depression caused by my migraines. I'm just...scared. I have a lot of responsibilities and can't be living in fear of whether I'll end up with a terrible aching in my temples, extreme fatigue, or nausea by the end of every day.
I have a neurologist appointment for this Friday, but it's with a new guy since my original neurologist apparently quit. I really prefer to have female doctors, but I just really want to be put on some type of preventative for this.
I get migraines (or feel my brain threatening to migraine out) nearly every day, but only recently have started having panic attacks and extreme fatigue with no head pain. I'm pretty much just venting here but I really, really hope I get medicated this Friday to fix both the physical and emotional symptoms because right now I feel so hopeless and upset.

My MIL thinks i'm able to eat her food but i can't without getting sick because they either cook with too much oil, or they overcook it so much that there's very little nutritional value left so i always go out and eat, go back home to my mother's no eat, or i make my own food. on top of that she makes a lot of pork dishes and i can't eat pork because of my weak stomach.
don't even get me started on smells in the house. she's Buddhist so she'll always light incense (im ok with it it's her place she can practice whatever she wants) BUT she refuses to air out the smell via a tiny crack in the window so i'm left to suffocate or hide in my room.
and don't even get me started on moth balls. the smell of it is making me sick...

As a fellow migraine-sufferer, a little heads-up in case the neurologist doesn't find anything:
migraines can be caused by tons of things, and if you are not sure where they come from, it can help to check all possible things from a list.
Beside the obvious, there are allergies, skeletal things, and infections which can sometimes leave a chronic headache.
Good luck, I hope you get better.

To my fellow migraine-sufferers, I spoke to an herbalist today about my migraines because I'm sick of taking excessive amounts of ibuprofen and the ideas I've tried with my physician so far haven't helped. She recommended rubbing peppermint oil on my temples and made me a tea blend of 1 part Willowbark, 1 part Crampbark, 1 part Kava Kava, and 3 parts Lemon Balm tea that's supposed to help with the migraines. Have any of you guys tried something like this? How did it work for you?

I've had a lot of health problems my whole life, so for the most part, I've gotten used to it. I always hate it, but I'm used to it, so I don't get too discouraged.
Right now, I'm really discouraged, not so much about my health, but about the money necessary to just stay alive sometimes.
I'm already $14,000+ in dept, and because of pain, it makes working really hard, which by extention makes earning money hard. Then someone got into my bank account and took $100. I only had $10, so I got charged for overdraft. I was able to get the $100 back, I don't have enough money to pay the fee, which they charge daily ($6) So this weekend I don't even have money to buy food. On top of that, I'm out of my medicine, and I can't afford to get the refils until monday.
It's just frustrating. On top of that, I'm also trying to save up money to get a surgery for endometriosis. I was told by doctors over a year ago that I should get this done ASAP to reduce the pain, but I st haven't been able to make it happen. I started a go-fundme page (http://www.gofundme.com/oh80zc), but I haven't been able to get a lot of attention.
So, I don't know if it's appropriate to post this here, but if you could share it on your facebook page, or something, I would really appreciate it.
End of vent. (for now)

Hey guys :) I'd just like to know if any other mers have to use a nebuliser for breathing problems? I was born with chronic lung disease, and normally it's fine, I just get puffed if I try to run or something ( I was born premy, so I have smaller than average lungs -.-) but every few years in winter, if I get a really bad cold ( I get chest infections somewhat easily) I need to use the neb to help me get rid of the crud in my lungs. (Joy of all joys -.-) because of the Ventolin medication that is used with the neb, it makes my heart pound for like one-and-a-half even two hours. Does anyone know how to maybe help calm my heart rate a little? *although I do like sleep, I'd rather be able to breathe easily than sit here for two hours staring at the ceiling until my pulse chills, but it would be nice to have oxygen AND sleep* :eye twitch:

I have a lot of anxiety and it has at times caused my heart rate to be too high, and I was taught to slow my breathing and concentrate on that. I don't know if it will help you because your heart rate is caused by a chemical reaction, but it's worth a shot. Try taking very slow breaths and focusing only on the in and out of your air, the inflation and deflation of your lungs. Like the start of meditation, if you've ever tried that.

Thanks :) I've been doing that, I guess with the medicine, waiting it out will be one of the only things to help- I've also had anxiety troubles in the last few years, but those have settled down. My dad has heart problems ( faulty valve, but was helped through surgery last year) and after I had a friend of mine (younger than me) die from heart failure, I freaked myself out that because my dad has issues, I could too, and stressed myself over stupid stuff that wasn't even wrong with me. Anyway, since the cardiac specialist said there was nothing to worry about, and my heart's perfectly fine at the moment, I've not had another panic attack :) I get what you're going through Mermaid Gosalyn we're all here to help *hugs*

Several people in my family use CPAP (Continuous positive airway pressure) machines to help them breath while they sleep. I don't know much about them though.
There are also anti-anxiety medications that could just help calm your heart (Ativan is what I use, but I would talk to a doctor about it) But I don't know how that would react to what you are already using.
Or if you don't want to add any more medication/machines into your life there is always meditation. Just take slow deep breathes and tighten your solar plexus. Imagine you are on a beach, or at your favorite place in the world. Narrate to yourself a story of a calming situation.
Writing in a journal right before bed can also be helpful.
That's all I can think of right now.

Any tips of tooth sensitivity on a tooth that's not there?
I finally got health insurance! Yay! (Say what you will about Obama but I'm thankful) and went to the dentist for mouth aches that I'd had for years. Had about nine cavities and one exposed nerve. Got the cavities filled and the exposed nerve tooth pulled....but my mouth still feels like there's a raw nerve dangling out. I went back to a different dentist sure that he'd pulled the wrong tooth only to have my second opinion not have a clue as to what was wrong. I've got to wait until next month to go back to the dentist (certain amount of dental allotted and I used it all up) but I've been dealing with this for months and honestly my mouth hurt less before all this because that nerve was being "protected" by a calcium build up. [emoji37] it hurts to brush my teeth so now the tooth behind the one I got pulled is beginning to be sensitive since I can't properly clean it.

I got all of mine removed at once when I was 16, I think for preventive measure. At the same time they removed the gum line above a tooth that hadn't wanted to come up after the baby tooth was yanked years before that.

Wouldn't a dentist be able to figure that out? I went to a different one and got a second opinion, he took X-rays...did a full exam...nothing. His best guess was that the nerve was just overly sensitive and needed time to heal, and I mean it has gotten better but it's been nearly 4 months or so...that seems like a long time.

Muscles.
My 5yo just had her second hip surgery and she's in a hip spica cast again, from hip to ankle- one leg only to the knee. So heavy, and I think I was stronger last surgery, and that her being like 5lbs lighter made a difference, because I am all kinds of sore from lifting her. I'm lifting from the legs, but my back is still involved, and my upper back and shoulders hate me today. Gah. I don't carry her far- lift off wheelchair, turn, set on bed. Lift off bed, slide down to beanbag. Etc.
Yep, if I'm not stronger after all this, I'd be really surprised. Just under four more weeks of the lifting a 46lb child in a cast that feels like it weighs as much as she does, but probably doesn't.
I am in no way complaining about doing what I can for my daughter; just that I am strong like hamster.

Just found this thread, and thought I'd join in. I'm wondering if anyone has specific exercises that help with swimming strength and breath holding. I have had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 25 (I'm 33 now). I go through times when the pain is so bad that I don't want to move, but I don't have a lot of strength even on good days. I went swimming on Saturday and was so wiped out and sore that I could barely move for 2 days. I should take it slow but I was having too much fun snorkeling at the lake!
Do any other mers have RA? How do you deal with it?

No, but I am an epileptic. I had grand mal seizures right up to my teens, so I never did much exercise then until last year. I go at my own pace, which is much much slower than a snail! I practiced with monofin only for several months, and only recently started trying out tricks like spinning underwater, humming and fish hopping. I know my very first swim, I was so winded after it, when I got home, all I did was sleep early and didn't wake up till the next day! Its not so bad now, I may sleep early if I've pushed myself, but I know my limits and always stop to rest (sit on the side of the pool) or float on my back until my breathing returns to normal! I don't get winded much anymore. I've gone from a 5 secs breath hold to around 28 secs. It takes practice but you can do it too!:)

i need a special pair of computer glasses because I stare at a screen all day and they will double up as reading glasses as well.
also my eyes are pretty unique because with most Asians we have very dark brown eyes and as a result usually have huge pupils meaning were sensitive to light.
in my case however I have extremely light brown eyes but the most ginormous pupils ever. Granted I think it might be genetic because everybody on my dad's side has light brown eyes.

Sorry to hear that :( How long has this been going on? Any other symptoms? I've had IBS since I was 12 so I know the woes of stomach and intestinal issues for sure. Could be a whole lot of things causing it, though. I hope that if this continues your doctor will start doing tests to rule out different things soon.
Until then, you could try a few things that could help. Firstly, ginger. It's often overlooked because it's used in cooking, but can be very medicinal! It can help nausea, stomach pain, abdominal pain, painful gas, ect! Using fresh root to make a tea is great, especially if you throw in a few bags of chamomile tea as well as the ginger. I mention this first because both fresh ginger and chamomile tea are easy and cheap to get.
You can also use dried ginger or candied ginger- I love the candied ginger that Trader Joes carries. I carry it in my purse and have some in my car. Also ginger tincture. You can make your own for cheap using fresh root (just takes a few weeks to stew, a quick google turns up tons of results on how to make them) or buy premade in stores or online (HerbPharm is a great brand and carried in a lot of places). A lot of people like tinctures because you can put several dropper fulls in a shot glass, fill with water, and shoot it down. Rather than drinking a whole cup full of tea or eating several pieces of ginger (which can be too spicy for some).
Chamomile is great especially when combined with ginger. Both are carminatives. Carminative is an herb that is soothing to the gut wall, eases griping pains and reduces the production of gas in the digestive tract, and can have a locally anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and mildly anti-microbial effect upon the lining and the muscle coats of the alimentary canal (the whole of your digestive system from esophagus to colon). Ginger, chamomile, peppermint, and fennel are all carminatives and are popular for use in helping stomach/intestinal ailments.
Also Chamomile is a smooth muscle relaxer. Your stomach is made of smooth muscle, and so chamomile does a wonderful job of settling a stomach, especially combined with other things such as peppermint and ginger. It is also a bitter, which upon taste will trigger your brain to produce more bile and other digestive juices. This aids digestion immensely. It's also an anti inflammatory.
Also something I swear by, at least for IBS, is Yogi's Stomach Ease tea (https://www.yogiproducts.com/teas/stomach-ease/)! I order a pack of 6 boxes at a time from Amazon I use it so much! Yogi's teas are becoming more widely carried in stores now too. Great for stomach pain/cramps, intestinal cramps, painful gas, diarrhea, and nausea. I usually use 2 bags in a cup.
Probiotics are great, but most of them concentrate on acidophilus. Bifidus is another major one that most overlook. If your yogurt doesn't have bifidus, try and find a brand that does, or try supplements. Be sure to get the kind that's refrigerated- you can usually find those in health food stores in a small fridge.
Hope you start feeling betters soon!

I'm not quite sure if ginger would work out for me. I've tried it in pill form and it gave me an upset stomach as I also have GERD (um... where your stomach acid bypasses the valve between your esophagus and stomach and hurts). So those proved disasterous.) And also the chamomile tea bit but that doesn't seem to work for the stomach issues except a little bit and it doesn't really seem to work enough to continue with. I do know that ginger in food form doesn't upset the stomach but then I am typically averse to 'spicy' foods (I'm too Dutch lol). I've tried peppermint too but can't remember if it helped. I think I've sort of given up on things a little. I'll have to start using the tea a bit more, however that might be a bit difficult as I tend to run warm/hot already. Thanks for the bifidus idea. I'll have to see if my yogurt has it (probably not). I do wonder if the local version of Kefir' has it as that is the most available. We don't have a health food store here of any kind. bleh. I've also got a frikken migraine. That happens every night too. I think I need to move to somewhere warmer. :p

I also have GERD and have for years. I find that ginger doesn't upset it if I mix it with chamomile, as chamomile is also good for GERD/acid reflux. Peppermint on the other hand will aggravate it. It's different for everyone, but I thought I'd let you know that sometimes combining those can help :)

For the past five and a half months, I've had pain on the outside of both of my legs just below my knees. It isn't all the time, but I feel it going up or down stairs, or if I'm in bed and I use my legs to reposition my body closer to the foot of the bed. I'm pretty sure this started when I was in a play and I had to do a lot of physical stage work (sword fighting and dance). I exacerbated the pain when I was in a show immediately after that was intensely physical which made that pain and my knees excrutiatingly painful. I went to the dr, who recommended me to an orthopedist. She took xrays and did an mri and they found nothing. But the pain is still there. I thought maybe it was shin splints, but I've never had them and I don't know how long it takes to get over them.

I had all four wisdom teeth removed last Friday. The top two were impacted, the bottom right was completely horizontal, and the bottom left was at an angle to the outside of my jaw line. It is past 5AM and I can't sleep because I am having severe pain where the bottom teeth were removed and there is a hard lump on the ride side of my jaw (which could mean an infection). The pain has been so severe I barely eat and can barely open my mouth to talk even though I should have only a mild soreness this long after the surgery.

It might be worthwhile trying insoles designed for anti pronation (when your feet roll in from the ankles letting the arches collapse) If you do a lot of dance you're probably quite flexible, so chances are your feet will tend to roll in, which will put a strain on your legs and knees. If you can see an orthotist or podiatrist they should be able to look at your foot position and advise on what's best. Whatever it is, I hope it stops hurting soon!
Reading through this thread, I'm so grateful for the NHS! It seems unfair that so many of you are having to pay a small fortune for treatments that you need.

I called them as soon as I got up today and they had me come in for an exam. Everything is apparently fine; I'm just a slow healer. The lump on my jaw is just a blood clot in the tissue that my body will absorb in a week or so. The pain I'm feeling is just weakness in the nerves where the teeth got taken out because they were so close together. And since the wisdom teeth are no longer there to support my back molars the teeth's nerves are receiving more pressure than normal from subconscious stress grinding/clenching. He said to imagine what would happen to a line of books if you took the bookend away. I got sent home with more pain meds and should be fine. :)

Honestly it's not scary like everyone says it is and I'm a HUGE wimp when it comes to surgery. I was so out of it from the anesthesia almost everything from shortly before I actually knocked out to changing the gauze pads when I got home was a complete blank. I still don't remember leaving the office or getting in the car but there are a couple things I do remember after being told what happened.
As for after the surgery they give you so many pain meds that by the time you're out of them you should only feel a mild soreness. Worst case scenario you go back for more like I did. By that point you should barely be swollen.

I can't stand winter depression! My ADD gets so much worse and I barely have energy for anything anymore. My relationship is going to hell because of it and it doesn't really help that I just heard that my mom isn't receiving any more treatments for her cancer (e.g. she will probably die soon).
I feel miserable. :(
My first monofin is being delivered tomorrow so I hope that I can find some distraction in practicing with it because I've done nothing but crying for the past week. :(
I know it's going to get better in the spring but it isn't even officially winter yet. :(
And the worst thing is I don't have anyone to turn to because my boyfriend has the emotional range of a teaspoon and my mom worries enough about me as it is.

Jopie:
I'm so sorry to hear your struggling. Sadly many of us know the feeling of winter. Best thing to do is try to find one good thing in a day I mean you but on two matching shoes today didn't you? :P
Good luck with you monofin! It's always a thrill when it comes in!
And it's not always the weather that triggers the depression it's more the sunshine.
This morning I woke up and didn't want to get out of bed but now the sun is shining and I can't loose the smile on my face.
I know you feel like you have no one and I'm sorry you can't turn to those who are close to you but please know that the people of MerNetwork are the most loving people you will meet. They have saved me from suicide on a couple occasions. Feel free to message me any time, and if messaging isn't enough I will gladly share my phone number so we can text <3 you are loved and there are people (including me) that want to help

Thanks! That means a lot to me. <3
I felt a bit nervous posting this because I'm new here and I don't know anyone but I needed to get it off my chest without people judging.
I can't really share this on facebook since my mom's illness is not something I'd like to plaster all over the place (although it isn't a secret).
And yeah I definitely feel the same way about the sun! It just gets dark so early now and I don't get to enjoy it, and it's nearly always rainy anyway (Dutch climate).
I'm really curious about the monofin. I have never had one in my hands before but I used to love swimming with bifins. If I love it as much as I think I will I'll try to make a tail for it in the new year. <3

and i understand where your coming with facebook. once its posted if the world wants to know they will find it. not really something you want to scream out.

I know how you feel, Jopie. I'm new as well so I was hesitant on posting about my personal life too. Eventually I just took a leap of faith and put myself out there and I'm glad you did too. I've struggled with depression in the past too so I know how difficult it can be when it seems like your partner doesn't understand how you're feeling. I'm here for you as well if you ever want to talk.
Also, what kind of monofin did you get? I'm a little curious.

I'm getting a blue Spetton Triton! I've never heard of them before but it looks okay - reminds me of the Hydra a bit shape-wise. I haven't been able to find any reviews of it online but I did think I saw some mermaid vids of mers swimming with them.
And I just heard last night it's going to take another week to arrive so I won't be able to play with it today :(
I think I'm going to break up with my boyfriend today. It's time to do something and stop crying about everything even though everything hurts. I hope we have a constructive talk at least.

I am so sorry you are going through this Jopie! BIg hug coming your way!
I am so so sorry to hear about your mom. I can not even begin to imagine what you are going through right now.....I wish you a lot of strength through these dark times.
If you need someone to talk to, know that we are all here for you! You are also most welcome to PM me at any time if you need to talk.
I have winter depression myself, i used to sleep more than be awake at some point, no energy and only depressing thoughts.
It was like a dark cloud was hanging over me everywhere i went, like bad luck was following me around or something.
It was my mom who ended up looking online to find out was going on with me and she bought me a special lamp.
Now whenever i start to sleep longer and longer, have no energy and feel like i am starting to get depressed, i sit in front of the lamp for 30 minutes every morning for about a week and it is gone.
If you don't have a lamp like that you may be able to get a doctors note to get that same lamp treatment in the hospital if that is something you would want to try.
As far as men go....i think most of them have the emotional range of a teaspoon. I got one here myself who's responds a lot is:" Just get over it and move on" or anything other short and very UNhelpfull as a reply.
Sometimes we just need to be able to b*tch about stuff and talk about it, we just need a hug and some support and men are usually not the best to give this.

I have some serious issues with my pelvic floor muscles and might have to get some shots to make the muscles relax. years of dealing with these issues has not been kind. It might just be a whole different set of muscles getting used, or maybe you need to see a chiropractor?

It might be worthwhile asking someone to watch you swim with it to see if you look balanced. It sounds like you're favouring one side more. Try to notice if you tend to turn or roll to one side in particular.
Or if you've done any muscle damage the first time round it can take a long time to heal.
Either way, I hope you get sorted out soon!

How long do muscles take to heal? If not, I'll just end up selling my merfin and stick to my foil. Which I don't mind anyway, cos its such a cool little fin.
LouLouBelle
03-08-2016, 07:59 AM
It depends on how much damage has been done. Also, if you're restraining the muscles when you swim that'll set the recovery back every time.
You want to exercise as much as you can without causing pain. If you're fine with the foil, I'd stick to that for a good few weeks at least before gently trying the merfin again.
Of course, that will only work if you have actually strained muscles and that's what's causing the pain!
I love my foil! I got it for the sole reason that I can use it during normal pool times (I'm not allowed to use my triton in case I injure someone with it, which is fair enough!) I was amazed at how well I could swim with it - it's definitely my favourite fin at the moment, and the one I'll be using in my tail! [emoji1]

Due to recent health checks, I have borderline high cholesterol, I'm just one point over!! I rarely eat junk food, fried foods, oily stuff etc. and now I have a slow heart rate. I've had to quit my part time job, I was the newspaper deliverer and its disappointing that I can't do that now. I am in the middle of having preliminary checks done, currently wearing a 24hr heart monitor, then on Friday, I'll see my cardiologist again. Its nothing to worry about atm. My GP has said that athletes have a slow heart rate, but I'm not an athlete. Apart from swimming and walking, I don't do any other form of exercise. Does mermaid swimming contribute to having a slow heart beat?
LouLouBelle
04-11-2016, 08:30 AM
It could do. Generally the fitter you are the slower your heart rate will tend to be. I'm not an expert, though, and I know lots of things could potentially cause a slower heart rate, so I'd go with whatever advice your cardiologist gives.
As far as cholesterol is concerned, it's not the total amount of cholesterol that's most important, it's the breakdown of the 'good' and 'bad' types. Did they give you the breakdown or just the total amount? The overall amount of cholesterol is only minimally affected by what you eat. Genetics actually plays quite a big role there.
I hope it's nothing too serious, whatever's going on.
My own vent: I've had an infection that I'm fairly sure turned into blood poisoning... Antibiotics are finally kicking it, but I have never felt so tired or drained as I have over the past few weeks. I'm really fed up with it now. It's partly my own fault as I know I should have gone to be doctor earlier, but I didn't think it was going to get that bad... If nothing else, I've lived and learned.

I'm on biweekly allergy shots (was every other day, then weekly, now biweekly) and have just started physical therapy for my shoulder i dislocated 4 years ago.
After a year on shots and a septoplasty surgery I'm FINALLY able to breathe through my nose. I was having to hold my breath to chew food. -.-
My shoulder and finally starting to get to where I can sleep on it, and use it more. Apparently when my shoulder got dislocated and didn't get fixed, my muscles compensated. Or tried to. My right pec muscle pulls my shoulder forward and is always tight, making the muscles around my shoulder blade be stretched all the time, and making the muscle on the side of my neck bunch up and pull my shoulder up towards my ear. Its crazy and awful and totally affects my lower back too I'm sure, which doesn't help anything since I already have lower back aches from my genetic sway back. But its getting fixed so that's nice.
I'm going to the doc on Monday for my overactive bladder. Finally.
And ...AND I think I've finally got all of my dental problems fixed so I can eat stuff without my mouth aching!!
I'm super broken lol

Ever since I was a little girl I've had bipolar disorder on my journey to get better I had to go to an elementary school that specialized in behavior and they tested a number of drugs on me. At this time child hood bipolar was not very common and only now is it starting to get awareness. I remember one time I got so angry I ripped a small coat closet to wood chips. I had no friends because before my medication I tried to hurt them. And it really sucked. After my medication I was put on risperidone and in third grade I weighed 125 pounds. I am still overweight and it frustrates me that I don't fit into clothes and was called an earthquake in school. Now my parents have lowered the risperidone and I'm doing great. They think that me talking about mermaids more often is my bipolar acting out and they are saying they are gonna raise my medication up and now I'm gonna gain back the weight I lost and it's honestly so frustrating. What they don't understand is I'm trying not to hide who I am anymore and I'm just letting my magical sparkly self spill out. And next week they are gonna talk to my psychiatrist without me having any say in what's going on. I'm also on lamictal which if not taken consistently can end up killing me so I can't just not take my meds. And also when I do get sad for some reason they say hey maybe we should bump up your medication. MY MEDICATION WONT STOP ME FROM GETTING DEPRESSED OR SAD. It's my body not yours my illness is not who I am and it does not define what I like.

I am allowed to talk to her alone but my mom has all the say in what happens to me. I'm 17 and the thing about my parents is that they have been begging me to do a sport for a long time they asked me to start the swim team again and do track but I'm not competitive whatsoever. And I hate running. I told them it would be great exercise but they were like no pick something normal. I also have a learning disability that messes with my tracking skills so it's very hard to play sports with balls. I have a nonverbal learning disability.

I swear Im the clumsiest mermaid on human legs ever. I went to the chiropractor because I was having hip pain, turned out I had misaligned hips which that man fixed and omg No More Pain... 5 minutes later I leave and call my dad, just as he says something to me, I misstep on the sidewalk and I went one way, my leg turn inward *Snap and Pop* from my ankle, and I was rushed to the emergency room..

I have a really really important party in two weeks, doc said it takes alot of time to heal (6-8 weeks) I spoke to the mom (who's a great friend of mine) because of the birthday im suppose to do on the 30th,. she and I figured I could just be in a clamshell, instead of the water but not swimming. just a poolside story time, kids games and photo ops.

TL;DR: MTHFR is a gene variant that is responsible for a lot of misery- migraines, miscarriages, inflammation, depression- many doctors don't know about it yet or are dismissive of it, but some get it, and if you have the variant, knowing could help you change your health life around. DNA based medicine clinics and 'integrative medicine' doctors seem to be the only practices currently investigating it and treating patients correctly.
Hi all- I want to share something that has affected my migraines big time, in case it can help anyone else. I've had chronic migraines for almost 30 years. A few years ago, I also developed an allergy to cyanocobalamin, the most common form of manmade B12, as well as to a host of other manmade B vitamins, including folic acid. This all created a lot of health problems and a mystery that was finally solved recently. Doctors thought it was candida, one thought it was neurological, one thought it might be lupus... it was not any of those things for me. A friend of mine who's an acupuncturist told me about a gene variant called MTHFR, which yes looks like a swear word, ha. I had a lab online test me for it via LabCorps where I had blood drawn, and yes I have the variant. It makes the body unable to properly convert folic acid into folate, as well as making it difficult to process other B vitamins into useable forms. All because of a process that takes places in the body called methylation, which in most people, converts manmade B vitamins into usable forms. But with this variant, the unusable vitamins build up in the system, and as the body suffers from an often undetectable deficiency at the same time, all sorts of health mysteries form. Most people, if they have MTHFR variants can simply switch to methylated versions of folate and B12 and find their levels rise and health improve. Unfortunately for me, I'm still allergic to all the manmade B vitamins, but that is because my body is insane. But my daughter, who also tested for the MTHFR, is taking methylated versions and doing great, she is not allergic to them.
Some of what it turns out that MTHFR has caused for me:
- miscarriages. It's why I have had three miscarriages and one abnormal pregnancy, and no doctor ever had any idea. This DNA informed medicine is new and a lot of doctors are catching up. I had been told for many years I was 'probably infertile' but they could not tell without an expensive battery of tests that I couldn't afford, and so when my daughter was born... well she feels even more miraculous to me now. But if I'd known? I could have done something and I would probably not have miscarried before or since her.
- migraines like crazy. Now that I have removed man-made Bs from my diet, within a few months of getting it all totally out of my system, I've seen a major drop in migraines. I still get them, mostly around hormonal times. But the intensity has declined, and their duration. I'd call it about an 90% decline in migraines, not kidding. I was at the point that I had maybe 5 good days a month, the rest were best by migraines and it was ruining my life. And online I've met a dozen other women who dropped folic acid and cyanocobalamin and they also saw a decline in migraines. Everyone of them had doctors who told them they simply needed more B12, because they did not understand what the MTHFR variant meant.
-worsening anxiety and depression. I've had both since I was a child, and I also found I have the genes associated with wonky seratonin, adrenaline, norephinephrine, and dopamine. But the affects from the MTHFR made it far worse... so bad.
Now that I know, it's more important than ever that I avoid foods made with enriched flour, which is everywhere. Luckily, I eat very well most of the time and am not lacking in vitamins. B12 is the only one I cannot get easily, and had to radically change my diet for because I can't eat dairy or enough eggs to even begin. Since I cannot take supplements, even the methylated ones, I'm out of luck there.
There are a lot of sites about MTHFR out there, and a lot of them seem to only benefit the person who created the site. So reading about it, one has to use your best judgement and weed through some nonsense. This page (http://https://mthfrgenehealth.com/mthfr-vitamin-b12/) has a really good basic set of info regarding MTHFR, but I don't necessarily agree with the rest of the site, since their 'bad foods' list is full of things not problematic for me. And I think *most* people do better with simply removing unmethylated man-made Bs from their diet and eating well all around, but everyone is different.
The gene variants express differently in different people, and in my case did not seem to get going until I was pregnant, which is not uncommon... anyone who's been pregnant knows how the body can switch gears on you. I have two copies of the variant, some people have one, some lucky people have zero. Mine is also in combination with a couple others that affect B12, so I'm in quite a fix, but that's just me, and I'm just happy I know, now.
If any of this sounds like you want to look into it, please Google MTHFR Variants and 'methylation process and B vitamins' to understand more. Talk to your doctor, and if they haven't heard of it or dismiss you, please get another doctor to listen, if you can. Also, there are DNA-based medicine clinics popping up in major cities now, although they're a lot more expensive. Learning I have this variant has changed my life for the better, and made it possible for me to get my daughter (who also has two copies of the gene) on the right track. She was starting to get migraines at age 7! Her doctor is a good doctor, but on this, she was baffled. I took the unmethylated Bs out of her diet, and she hasn't had a headache since, and she doesn't get tummy aches like she was. It's really worth looking into.

My depression is kicking me in the stomach right now. I'm sitting here in tears and the only thing that helped me through the hard times was mermaiding. I'm saying was because, unfortunately, I can't find a spotter - I'm worried that if I swim alone, I am more likely to have issues in the water.
You'd think that living on the Gulf Coast people would know how to swim - it's not the case at all. I'm to the point of crying because I am constantly missing a good swim. I hate this feeling of lost loneliness. I'll get through it, I always do, but it's never easy. I'm just unsure what to do with myself.

Hi, I understand your situation Misty and Sunset. Depression really drains energy and makes it difficult for you to work normally. It even add to one's stress and anxiety. My way of handling it before made me feel better. I've read that an omega fatty 3 acids to be included in our diet really help. Other habits of negative thinking must be avoided. We must focus ourselves to other things that makes us busy like going out with friends or doing things that you are happy about. Foremost, we should get enough sleep and exercise.

I finally found a solution after speaking to a close friend. We'll be doing different things on our mutual day off.
I just really hate the lack of energy and certainty in myself when those downswings hit. It is always hard to be positive when it hits.

Well, doing some great things that you are interested about is such a very good idea. That solution will help you a lot. I'm hoping you'll be fine soon.

The other thing is to give up smoking - that comes from my personal experience.
I knew that vaporizers were around for some time, but I just couldn't do it could turkey; I've never tried vape or e-cigs.
So, half a year ago I finally bought me an e-cig (I purchased it online, you can also buy pod starter kit http://mygadget.us/) and I could finally give up smoking tobacco! That was a huge relief not only for me, but also for my close ones :b
They couldn't stand the tobacco smoke... And now I feel MUCH better, really.
So if you smoke tobacco and have regular headaches, there's something to think about...

This is a neat concept :)
Most of my health concerns are mental/emotional health. I have PTSD and depression coming from a lifetime of abuse. Recently, somewhat thanks to my boyfriend, I realized a lot of my problems come from the fact that I don’t love myself because of my past, and the negative beliefs I adopted or were forced on me.
It’s very frustrating and confusing most of the time. I’d slip back into my old way of thinking and living, especially when things are bad. I’d see people my age or younger, who didn’t have histories like mine, succeed where I still fail. I’d hate myself for things that aren’t really all my fault.
I’m not really sure how to love myself better. I’ve read stuff about mental health, and I’d been in therapy for years; it’s still a struggle. But I made a promise that I was going to really try. [emoji170]

Minor complaint, I almost feel silly venting here, but... Recently I went to the dentist for a cleaning for the first time in years. Surprisingly, I had no cavities, seems like I used to get them all the time back when I went to the dentist regularly. I suspect that my old dentist lied about me having cavities but I have no way of proving that. Anyway, I did have another problem, and this is all my fault... For years I've been grinding my teeth at night, I was supposed to be wearing a mouth guard but I was just "whatever" about it. New dentist tells me that my teeth are worn down flat and I really have to start wearing them! Yikes! I'm only 26, I didn't think they'd wear down so quickly! Of course I'm diligent about my mouth guard now, but I'm mad at myself for letting it get like this.

If you vape and have worries about your health OR just want to know more, I recommend checking out vapingdaily.com (https://vapingdaily.com/) blog. They have a lot of useful articles on the matter of vaping, it's fun to be the part of this community.
Honestly, I find it really amazing that they not only cover all the products and stuff, but make researches on not so common discussed topics among vapers, including health.

Ugh, when I get health insurance again I'm gonna see a doctor about my periods. They leave me out of commission for a day, sometimes two, it's so miserable. The fluid loss makes me weak, I get horrible cramps and soreness, and I get nausea, among other problems. I get all of the well-known period problems and a bunch that health class doesn't tell you about. I went to a doctor about it in high school (or maybe college) and he said this sort of stuff was normal but I'd like to get a second opinion. Stupid uterus, I don't even want kids, lol.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 5 years ago, had depression since my early 20's, I'm nearly 42 now and anxiety since about 5 years ago when we had awful neighbours for a year and just hasn't gone away. Mermaiding is one of the best things I've ever done, yes I'm absolutely tired and hurting after a swim but well worth it.

I’m currently dealing with undiagnosed heath problems. One day I felt healthy and fine and the very next I was unbelievably exhausted. To the point where simply thinking was unbearable. But that’s just the most prominent symptom. Any time I stand up my head swims and threatens loss of consciousness, working out (which for the past 7 years of my life has been the most enjoyable and gratifying activity for me) causes me to become nauseous and faint, I developed motor tics as though I have touretts, my eyes glaze in and out of focus if I don’t expend enough energy and focus of the act of seeing, not to mention a descent into depression due to the sudden decline of my health, career and social life.
A week later my sister also began showing the same symptoms as me.
Now 6 months and countless doctors visits later and we still have no answers. Everyone we’ve been to see has said “everything looks totally healthy” probably the most hurtful and annoying thing to hear when you’ve never felt so unhealthy in your life.
We have better days and worse days and some days that are simply manageable but I still want to know what is wrong so I know what steps to take to begin feeling ok again.

phantom: there are a number of insidious infections (which are really hard to find and diagnose for most physicians) which can cause all of your symptoms, but since your sister seems to have something similar, please check out your living conditions asap.
There could be a poisoning going on- whether it's from inhalation, ingestion or some other exposure.
Check all your food, water, substances you both are exposed to, and your house for potential hazards!

Those was my thoughts as well. Mold particularly.
We’ve looked into all those things. We have even (by chance) moved house since our symptoms have begun and have yet to see any changes.
We haven’t stopped looking for answers but it seems every time we find something that fits something else comes up that doesn’t match.

it's weird for sure, but it could be something else than mold in the house.
Like some piece of inventory which you took along, which might be emanating toxic fumes or somesuch.
We had a carpet at one point which didn't even smell too bad, but it made all of us ill.
Same can go for furniture (treated with chemicals).
If you've checked everything already; have you and your sister had any tick/insect bites?
or maybe swum in the same natural body of water?

I was thinking perhaps a tick bite as well. Doctors usually don't test for lyme's disease or think about it. Not saying that it is, but here are the symptoms, one of which is extreme fatigue:
Flu-like illness
Fever
History of Tick Bite (Not all patients recall a bite)
Headache
Extreme Fatigue
EM Rash, Other Rashes (Only found in 50% of patients)
Malar Flush, Red Ear Lobes
TMJ/TMJD Jaw Pain (Temporomandibular joint dysfunction)
Neck & Back Pain
Joint Pain & Swelling, Bone Pain
For the full list of symptoms visit the Lyme Disease Association’s Signs and Symptoms List.
I wish for a quick diagnosis for you and your sister and I hope you both will be able to return back to normal heath!

We did go to New Mexico together and swam a few times in a natural spring.
We have considered Lyme and mentioned it to doctors and they’ve brushed it off and made it seem like that’s not even something to consider.

I know that you probably won't read my message, however I do not agree with you. If one or two bad examples with going to the doctor is changing everything for you, that does not mean every doctor will follow this unlucky pattern. There are plenty of good people and professionals.
It is already the second month when I suffer from shift work sleep disorder. Hopefully, my psychotherapist prescribed me a modafinil (https://www.rxshopmd.com/products/antinarcoleptic/buy-modafinil-modalert/) which helps me to return bit by bit my sleeping at night. Plus our usual talks and discussions are helping as well.
I hope there will be a moment when the next doctor you will meet -- won't disappoint you.

Uh i dont know about her but this can be quite dismissing you know? More than half a year of useless literal hundred of doctors and therapists trying to fix me until i stopped seing them at all since they only made my chronic pain even worse exhausting me seeing then being the most palpable thing they ever did supposed to "help" me i'm so done with the whole medical sector...better off without them than with this bunch of quacks to be honest. Women with chronic pain long term disease are treated as a joke by almost all doctors it's beyond enraging. It's not juste "one or two" bad apple they really do pretty bad work a lot most of them in that area. "Specialist not available until december 2022 live with it before the best you can" is best they had to told me...this bunch of people who blame everything on inexistent stress just not to work at all for women in pain and without money i vant because this is the topic and it's so damn infuriating. Trying my best not to kill the doctor next time he ask if you tried one of their hundreds useless methods i tried already meds included but like seriously i'm so losing my patience i sometimes ask how long it will be before i had enough enough to just slap one. Not anymore useful but probably the most efficient relaxation method after all this. So no sorry most are not competent at all and the very few who are i didnt have the luck to ever met yet...where on earth did you find them? After all the disappointment i seriously will not lose any more energy and money from disability to have yet another useless talk with another incompetent doc just for the slim hope it's might be different that time it's just not enough. I need more guarantee than that. And i know for a fact millions of women with chronic pain in the world live the same hell we just are not taked seriously at all. So please...dont tell others what their experiences with doctors are or should be...they very well can have a lot of quite good reasons to feel how they feel about it. I know you were probably trying to help with optimism but it can really be counter productive in that kind of situations.

For me, health is not just the absence of disease, but also the harmony of body and soul. One of the ways that helps me is to use taweez (https://furzan.com) amulets. I have found that taweez amulets can be a powerful tool for promoting well-being and protection. Not only do they make beautiful decorations, but they also contain symbols and mantras that help remove negativity and attract positive energy. When I wear the taweez amulet, I feel protected and balanced. It reminds me of the importance of spiritual harmony and supports me in difficult moments. I believe that our faith and beliefs can have a great impact on our health and using a taweez amulet is one way to strengthen this connection.
