Does anyone else have this monofin?

I took JUST THE MONOFIN to Wekiva Springs yesterday, and now I see where all my swimming issues are coming from.

My damn ankle straps.

They keep slipping out of the rubber latch mechanism on the sides, does anyone else have this problem with this fin? If so how can i fix this?

having to reattach these things every 10 minutes makes me nervous about using it in a fin (gonna be a lot harder to reattach those straps once they're under a heavy duty layer of neoprene and silicone...just sayin)

Since it's a Tempo, it's probably pretty old. I was having the same issue with my tempo as well as the straps not staying tight enough. I'd loosen up and come off mid swim. So I ordered a replacement strap! I took it swimming today and had no issues at all with it! I've heard the same from a few other people as well. Sometimes the strap just needs replaced. It's $9 at SwimOulet : http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/14293.htm

If it's a tempo, it's probably old. Myself and others have experienced them not keeping taught when swimming, and a replacement strap fixed it! The strap and the bumps on it that keeps it adjusted gets warn over the years. However you can buy replacement straps for around $10. SwimOutlet still sells them, which is where I got mine from: http://www.swimoutlet.com/product_p/14293.htm

do you think that by putting gorilla glue on the ridge where i like it would prevent from slacking?

You could try. I guess the worst thing that could happen is that you'd need to buy the replacement strap anyway if it ruins it. Not sure it would bond to it though, since the strap is rubber.
