Which latex do I use?

You can use ALEX or slip casting latex plus a thickener, read around a little and it'll all make more sense :)

You really shouldn't use ALEX unless you have no other options because it's harmful and toxic to skin and degrades in water very quickly for a tail. I'm getting my latex from this website: http://www.monstermakers.com/product/RD407-Mask-Latex.html

There aren't really brands, but there are reputable sellers. Check the Materials and Supplies page (http://mernetwork.com/index/content.php?139-Materials-and-Supplies) under latex and silicone. Other than that, what they all said!

Use special FX latex, thats what my tail is made of and its not much more expensive than caulking latex. Dont use caulk (Alex Plus) its a waste of money and its super messy and a headache in the long run.
I recomend Monstermakers.com very highly, thats where i bough most of my latex materials.

hmm....i think all my tails are made of alex. when did it come out that it was so harmful? raina was telling me that yesterday.

I read alex tails flake off easily and is harmful to skin and the environment and thanks for the replies!
