I think we need one thread for all tail designs. Designs you have, you've seen, you can describe, or fish that would make a good tail.

i know some people will share while others wont their dont want their designs "stolen" or modified in anyway. I have a new one, but im seriously not posting it up, its somewhat similar to my old & new tail design but i think im making this one silicone.

yeah, id have to say im with lanai. there have been a few cases of people stealing designs without asking, which makes most of us a bit nervous.
however, there is a thread for awesome fish to base tails off of :D

Ello! I wouldn't mind sharing some of my mermaid ideas. I don't have any pictures though.

I think that using sea slugs and flatworms for inspiration would lead to some awesome tail designs. They come in so many colors and patterns and have very interesting 'accessories' like sea anemone looking bits along the dorsal fin or ditching the sleek fish shape in lieu of some ruffled elliptical flatworm.

The colors and patterns are really cool too. I don't know though... I like it, but maybe other people would think it is silly.

For me if i did a tail i would want it to go up to my mid back or up to my ribs. I espically like the idea of having a marlin or swordfish style fish body. I think that would look slightly more masculine since i'm a guy. Whoa, that is an awesome mer pic. I think that would look awesome for a merman.

Due to the approaching swimming season I decided to go ahead and simplify my old design for the scales (plus the party supply store didn't have all the colors I wanted :/)
Any thoughts?
