My new neoprene tail

Today hopefuly I can start to sew my new tail it is made out of neoprene with acrylic paint with fabric medium. The white line on the tail is fabric chaulk just to get center. I am not completely done yet cause I still have to add a fin or two but for the most part it is painted.5387

Thank you ladies . Well I sewed it up last night and it fits but before I show it the tail still needs a few tweeks, But other than that it fits good. Alot different than my fabric tails.

Well it is finished. An let me tell you it fits like a glove. To me it feels a little weird. ALOT different than my fabric tails. I will post pictures later when I get the chance.

Just something off the top of my head. But for some reason that pattern was in my head and it just came out that way.

What kind of stitching process did you used to put the tail together? Good Job by the way. I can't wait to see pictures of it in the water.

As of today I am gong camping with my children and I will not be back till monday I should have water pictures when I get back . As for the stiching it was a zig zag stich but I went over it after with a heavy nylon thread by hand to renforce the seams.

That is the final paint job, right? Very different but I like it! Good dorsal too, I can't even make mine look that good!

Well here is a new picture of my new neoprene tail. An I will tell you this I think I might make a few more or try one with silicone.It is so different swimming in neoprene than in spandex.5923
