I was in some high school musicals, but I didn't really start singing seriously until lately... I now do karaoke every Thursday, and am expanding my repertoire.

I LOVE to sing. :) I haven't performed any original songs yet or had much training other than my 4 years of women's chorus (it was a class) in high school, but I do keep singing so I don't lose the ability. I mostly sing for my church...great practice for singing in front of crowds. Our church has lots of picky people :p

let me explain my rambling in these videos. they were made for my Finnish friend (who, by the way, said that most of my Finnish was almost perfect for someone who doesnt speak it), so when i talk, im telling him things. he also wanted to hear my normal voice, so thats why i say something about "this is what i usually sound like". lol.

I'm a singer! I've been singing since I was tiny, in church choir and school chorus. I had one semester of private lessons when I was a freshman in college, but my then-boyfriend-now-husband quit taking lessons and he was my ride, so I quit, too. But only recently (like, past 2 or 3 years) I've started again with the same teacher and I actually prefer it now because I have a grown-up voice, which I didn't really as an 18-year old.

I don't have any singing videos on YouTube because I'm so sensitive but since I could add unlisted videos, maybe I'll do that sometime and share with you guys.

My little sister identifies herself as a true siren - the bird women, not the mermaids that they've been conflated with. She is a better singer than me and is also a Board-Certified Music Therapist. For a long time I thought, she sings so pretty, I shouldn't even bother. But I'm getting past that now. Because other people being good at something doesn't make me bad at it!

I love singing! I have not been able to sing much in the past 6 months though becuase of the place we moved to.. very thin walls with neighbors who don't like noise, and I hardly ever drive anywhere because I'm still getting use to the rain. Sadness :( We're hoping to rent a house after our lease is up though so hopefully I can get back into it. I tell ya what, you don't use it you lose it. :/

I had training in my show choir, which I did 4 years of. I was the alto section leader for senior year and one of 2 power house altos of the choir (the other was my sister ;) ). I loved those days! I'd love to join a choir around here somewhere, but I'm still looking.
I don't have a great of a range as I use to. I can't get as low as I use to be able to, but can get higher. I blame that mostly on Nightwish :P I've loved them for around 9 years now and sing Tarja's stuff frequently. I usually keep my singing to myself unless I'm in a group. I'm just really shy like that :/ When I went to their concert in LA I didn't hold back, and the people who were in front of me said I had an amazing voice so that made me feel SO great ^_^ Also the first and only time I did karaoke I sang Nemo. I had more fun doing little vocal diddles to compliment the instrumental breaks than I did singing the actual song though :P

I lost my singing voice to a really bad sickness that kept me coughing for almost 2 -3 months. It was really bad. I stopped singing, which is one of my many joys.
I've been singing little by little to retrain my voice. It's just not what it used to be. Maybe one day, I will feel comfortable enough to sing for people again.

I feel like there are a lot of mers here who consider themselves sirens, those who love to sing and use their beautiful voices to lure sailor to their deaths (or any other conceptions on has of being a siren, that is just the common belief I think :p)

XD I've been living with my boyfriend for almost a year now and even he's only heard me sing, like... Three times. The first time I was drunkenly belting out Poets of the Fall lyrics on Rock Band, the second time I sang "The Rains of Castamere" from Game of Thrones to try and creep him out, and the third time he was pressed up to the bathroom door trying to eavesdrop on me singing Phantom of the Opera songs while I was in the shower.

Vrindavana that is lovely ! I love Bengali music, I visited there in 2009 and there was a school we visited where the girls sang for us individually and together and their music was just beautiful ! Also I think Chicane - Locking Down, is sang in Bengali - such a lovely song. I love the Irish song Molly Malone, my mother used to sing that to me as a child.
