i need your help for a zipper!

so im making a silicone tail and i want help on how to put a zipper in the back.

can somebody help me please?

Is it a lined tail? If its not lined you won't need a zipper because it will stretch, but if you want a zipper I would say cut a small slit down the back or as long as you want it to be and then sew the silicone to the zipper then sew down the other side. :)

no lining! but i would like a zipper. wicht one to you recommend? and sewing the silicone to the zipper , the tread will be strong enough?

I would say use a plastic or stainless steel zipper so it will not rust and maybe instead of sewing bonding it to the silicone with more silicone or e6000 might work, regular thread probably wont be strong enough so maybe use upholstery thread or heavy duty thread instead and handsew them together, im not an expert so wait for more responses before you start stabbing a nice tail... :)

can you sew silicone? wouldn't puncturing holes in it cause weak points under stress? can a needle even sew through silicone?

Thats why i said to bond it instead, I have sewn silicone before for an art project but it was hard and got stressed later and ripped.... so I would say bond it...
