Hey guys.

So today, the fluke of my tail tore open! I've tried glue, and an awesome mer suggested sewing, (I'll try!!!) but I have no clue if that will hold!!!!!!!!!!

AHHH!! :headwall:

Any tips?

I believe it is Latex, but it wasn't made for me, so I don't know. ^^

This is one of Stevi's tails, so you can ask her! Since there's vinyl "fringe", sewing would be difficult. I'd suggest a heavy waterproof glue. Star said she glued her fluke together with E600 and so far I've heard great things about that glue. You can find it at Michaels. Just read the warnings, and be safe with it. Gorilla glue also might work well. I would not recommend filling or sealing the fluke with ALEX Plus or GE Silicone.

I agree with the E6000. That stuff is AMAZING. I wouldn't recommend gorilla glue because it sort of dries in a flaky way. I feel like that would flake off and rip again.

u can find the E6000 at walmart cheaper! go to their online store and you can see how many are in stock it the stores near you. i found out the hard way that they seem to sell out quickly and when someone is working on something in your area it seems like every store gets sold out in an hour. once i had tried michaels, ac moore, 4 different walmarts, 2 ma and pop scrap booking stores in the area that always carry it ,and they had all sold out in the same day. i wondered if there was another mer in the area when it happened since everywhere in an hours radius was sold out. so call after checking online if you can cause they arent always updated as they sell.

Don't forget, don't seal it all the way, leave holes like Stevi does for the water to pass through.
