So i just came from Great Wolf Lodege. First off, they have the hottest life guards ever. Lol. Second, I was hoping to maybe have a gathering of mermaid and mermen at the Great Wolf Lodge, but i'm not sure if you are able to bring you tail since I totally forgot mine at home. If anyone knows if you can I would love to be able to have a group of mers get :lol:together and we can all just be lazy and swim around together.

I'm in the VA area as well. Do they have any group/gathering deals?

Yeah, I if they didn't allow tails really there are only 3 other potential gathering places: Virginia Beach, James River (various locations), and the Mermaid Retreats. http://mermaid-retreats.com/

I know Great Wolf Lodege is undeniably expenisive but thats what we can fundraise for and we can just make an estimate and they have great deals for big groups. So it would be better if we had ten or more mers.

Pretty much everywhere is expensive/ :P If we gathered in Virginia Beach, have to worry about hotel costs, Mermaid Retreats the program and hotel are separate purchases, and the James River has sp many locations that it would a tad hard to establish a location.

STILL it's time to a establish a mer-gathering in the VA area.

If you make a mer-gathering in Virginia (Especially in Virginia Beach), then I am totally in! My Fish Butt should be coming within the next couple days!

And also, I think that hotel prices go down pretty significantly around October in VB.

I would only be concerned about the weather in October, sometimes is an extended summer and other times it's fall. :P

im thinking if were going to be swimming, well need somewhere with an indoor and outdoor pool, in case it does end up being cold... or wait till next summer :/
but theres pros and cons to both.

In October there probably aren't lifeguards, so I don't know if the no mermaids rule is as strict at the VB oceanfront. If it is, then we could go to the north end (a 5 minute drive) or to Sandbridge (a 30 minute drive).
And Pony Pastures looks so pretty, Ryan!

Guess it's a good fall back plan.

All of those places look amazing. We all just have to find a moot point where its not to far for either one of us

Are any of those places in the Richmond area? I feel like that is the most central. Also, are we planning on doing it soon? Because it's getting cold. We should get crackalackin! Or it may be smart to do it next spring..

Pony Pasture is nearly the city of Richmond. The rest I'm going to have to double check.

As for a date if we met at Pony Pasture/Richmond, I will be attending the Virginia Comic-Con the 15th to 16th so I could fit it in on that weekend and it hopefully will still be warm.

As a very new to this community, and very tailless (for now) Virginia mer, I hope to maybe join one of your Spring Meets. That is if you'll have me. :)

Mermaid Annariea

MermaidAliyah

Cause Spring is perfect.
because all the tail less mers will have time to finish their tails and make whatever else needs to be done
