Hey everyone! Im an Aussie, so i dont really know whats going on over in Canada and the US, but I'm going there for a holiday in October, and I'd love to see some mermaids! (seeing as there aren't that many over here). Are there any events/gatherings/shows or anything featuring mermaids happening in Canada/USA around October? Id love to go see one! :)

Canada is huge. I think people don't realize quite how huge... lol we're the second largest country (1st is Russia) in the world. It takes a very long time to travel many places... so it really depends on where in Canada you're travelling to. It's not quite as easy to drive across provinces as it is to drive across the states. Do you know specifically where? Also, it's the beginning of our fall and winter here... there's no swimming in October. We get frost and sometimes snow in October. Outdoor pools heated or not are closed. Sort of confined to indoor pools- usually hotel ones will let mermaids swims, more often than not other indoor public pools wont unless it's booked for an event/party.

Yes, Canada is MASSIVE! As is the US. Canada is larger....but less populated...when you get up the the north areas...I wouldn't want to be there either...the southern stretch gets plenty cold and snowy for me.

Vancouver gets colder before the East Coast. Oceana is from there https://www.facebook.com/pacificmer?ref=ts but keep in mind, it's big and people are spread out! I don't think there will be any mermaid events. We're still to far and few between. But you could organize something with her!
