Minnesota Meetup? Maybe? Mermaids? Muffins....

Anyways, I figured this was worth a shot. As far as I know, there's only two mermaids in Minnesota. I was wondering if we had a meetup here, who would be able to come? Every great lakes meetup has been too far away for me to make it to, and I'd love to meet another mernetwork member. If we had a meetup here in the future, (doesn't have to be the near future) would anyone out of state be able to come? I'm broke and can't travel very far. But I can go places in the state. So yeah, anyone eventually up for it?

I haven't been on MerNetwork long enough to knows the nooks and crannies yet, so I have no idea if any of these individuals are on here or not.

There are two other mermaid enthusiasts, both of whom went to the World Mermaid Awards in Las Vegas in 2011, but they have made names for themselves publicly as fairies. I would prefer to keep their identities private as of this writing, but we can talk about that.

As far as location, I mentioned to you on your fan page the Mermaid American Grille and Sports Bar in Mounds View and The Little Mermaid Cafe in Askov. I have been to the location in Mounds View and like it, but apart from a thirty-foot statue on the roof, it is about as mermaidy as a gas station, which is to say that, once inside, it has nothing whatsoever to do with mermaids. The only thing I know about the location in Askov is the name.

This is a fun idea. I hope it gains more traction.
