Tattered Edges

How do I make tattered edges and those veins on my fluke?
I'm tryin to do something like this:

Just cut it like that, but I found mermaid Raven when she re-did my tail she re-alexed the tail to give it more texture and she actually had the stuff coming off the edges. It gave it a much more natural tattered edge look that I prefer

well as Aniar says you can cut it like that especially if you use Alpex...

How do I make the veins?

that's mostly from the monofin ridges underneath but you simply add texture with your latex

yeah you use a stuffer bush to do that

You can use like a paint brush that you use to paint walls and stuff....

Also, as the ALEX dries it becomes tacky at which point you can mold it a little bit.
