Will this fabric work for making a tail?

I live in Dubai and have had no luck in finding swimwear spandex. I found this on ebay:

Do you think this is appropriate for making a tail?

just look up spandex or swimwear fabric on ebay you should get results.

I think that should work. The only thing I would look out for would be the foil rubbing off. If you could get the seller to send you a swatch, you could test it out.

Chlorine does not do well with this kind of fabric. It makes it dull and eventually the shine comes right off. If you are planning to use it in fresh water though, I don't see why you couldn't use it.
