so, I have a very boring job and most of the time I'm thinking about what I would do if I hit the jackpot.

I have this vivid dream of kidnapping my local mers and sticking them on a private jet.to the states, we miss out on so much and never get to meet our international mer family. or bringing a few of you guys over here for sun and surf. i would have custom tails made for everyone I knew on here, spread the love I say. maybe host a convention like the seal chase The orca pod are talking about.

I would travel the world, shop 24 hours a day and live a life of relaxation and beauty.

when I'm bored of that I would spend some time messing with my bullies of old.

then some more shopping...

finally I would open a bar.

That's sorta difficult to say. I would do everything I'm working towards now, just faster. Open my business, buy a old house and fix it up, pay for my husbands parents to live care free for the rest of their lives. i would buy heaps and heaps of silicone and neoprene and paints and open a (free) workshop for mermaid lovers to come, make a tail, make friends etc :)

I'd have no idea. I don't really have debt besides $100 or so I owe to some friends, but I'd probably
just use some of it to buy new materials and equiptment for myself and give the rest to my boyfriend

I'm not so creative. I would fund an aquarium, like the one here in Utah. It's so small and sad. I'd give them most of my lotto winnings to expand into a large beautiful setup, with bigger tanks and more care for the creatures. I'd make them open a small rescue station to actually SHOW the people of Utah what litter can do. Our aquarium is more of a "tiny itty bitty amusement park in what used to be a grocery store" instead of a truly informative and wonderful place for children to learn about aquatic life and caring for said life. I may not be super passionate about this, but I DO care. At most I'd keep a grand for my own luxury.

At least Utah hasn't seemed as bad as my true home in Bass Lake, California. Oh gosh there was broken glass, discarded cans and bottles, bottlecaps, nets, lures, fishing line, you name it - everywhere.

Though I do agree with Saphira, it would be nice to open up a mermaid shop or restaurant.

Oh gosh.

First, I'd set out enough to pay for the rest of my college/grad school (my undergrad is 54k a year D: Thankfully I have scholarships so we're not actually paying that much...). And my sister's college/grad school (if she goes) as well. Then I'd pay my parents back for the money they spent on my first 3 years in college. Probably put some aside for my younger cousins too, if they decide they want to go to college.
Hire an accountant. Have them teach me about how best to distribute/keep the majority of the money, so I'll have a nice cushion for the future. I don't want to quit school or not have a career ever, but the kind of science I will probably go into does not exactly pay well, heh.

Though I'd put most of it away for the future, I would splurge a little. I'd buy a silicone tail (of course XD) and a bunch of the geeky tshirts I've wanted but never felt justified spending money on. And take all my friends out to a nice dinner and buy them each a present that I know they've always wanted by couldn't afford. I'm not talking like, cars or anything, but nice gifts under $100 :)
And I'd buy myself BOOKS! Lots of books. The ones I love to read over and over again but don't own and fun new ones. Books are one of the few things I can feel not guilty about spending money on :)

I would of course donate some. But ideally I'd wait till I'm older, and maybe start biology or science education programs in ares that don't have much access to that sort of thing. Inner city and such. I adore science and I'd like giving kids (or adults!) the chance to learn more in places they might not otherwise have the opportunity too. Maybe a center with after school programs or classes or such. I like the idea of funding something that could perpetuate, not just from my money but donations from others or sales or things.

Come do a masters in the UK its cheaper to do a masters at most unis than to do the actual degree now theyve pushed fees up to 9 grand.
If I won the lottery besides all the usual stuff llike helping my parents out getting a new house, paying debts ect I would open a mermaid theme park where people would pay to come and swim as a mermaid there would be lots of fabric tails in all sorts of sizes and some sort of underwater paradise

I am quite selfish. My parents put me in debt :/ long story short. Soooo!! I shall pay off my debt, have a fairy tale wedding on the beach with close family n friends, have an awesome honeymoon .. Ideally Disney cruise .. Live in a decent sized condo fully furnished like a beach hotel or an interior of the titanic but under water.. Or like a Victorian mermaid princess's room (because I clearly haven't grown up yet), have an additional cottage by a lake also fully furnished with an awesomely epic n magical indoor pool for them cold winter days , and finally!!! deposit the rest into my bank account so it collects interest and I get infinite amount of wealth!!!
