Hello mers! I'm interested in buying a Model 2 or Model 3 monofin from water way fins. Anyone ever dealt with this company before? Thanks!

I have not dealt with Water Ways directly, but I bought a Water Ways mono from http://www.freedivinginstructors.com/proshop/gear (http://www.freedivinginstructors.com/proshop/gear)

They range from $179.00-$199.99 and are located in the US (which means quick and cheap shipping!) :) Here a pic of the model 2.

Thanks Saphira! :) I do want to note though, that I had to return this monofin because I ordered a foot size that was too tight, and they sent me a meduim blade and I had purchased a soft blade. I did swim in it a few times and loved it, but the foot pockets caused my feet to cramp up rather quickly.

This is the new monofin I am purchasing from Specialfins in Estonia. They are a great company with really nice and helpful customer service. The reason I am going through them instead is because they offer OMER foot pockets, which as you can see are full foot pockets. The bonus there is they are much more comfortable and you can literally wear them for hours without dealing with unbearable foot cramping. The total cost for this fin (minus the neoprene wings shown in the image) with shipping to me is $220.00. Perfect :)

Thank you so much! Yeah I think I'll be purchasing the Model 2 water way fin from that website and cutting it with my dremel! Did you think the propulsion was good?

Congratulations! :) Yes, it's a great monofin! The propulsion was fantasitc, but I should warn you if you don't have any experience using a monofin it might take some pratice getting the hang of it. Because it doesn't have ridges (like the finis wave or rapid) it tends to move from side to side a bit more. Also, because they are much stiffer, you really have to focus on your body movement. Otherwise you may start to feel a bit like an inch worm ;)

Hahaha thank you!! And I have a finis mermaid monofin, thats all. And the propulsion sucks >:p lololol! But I think i'll be sorta ok because I swam for like 6 years including fly which incorporates the butterfly kick!! I'm sure it'll still take lots of practice but I think i'll get the hang of it. thank you so much for your advice i'll do that!!
