I made videos on how to make your own monofin:
It cost$20 to make your own rubber one:

And $5 for a ducttape one!

I hope these videos help!

I love the one involving the welcome mat! However, I would add in some extra steps to make sure things did come apart and for durability! Now I want to go out and buy 2 welcome mats and water shoes! Thanks for the video!I would have never thought of that!

I just saw that on youtube! How well does it swim though compared to an actual monofin? I would probably secure my shoes differently...how well did the shoes stay on your feet when you kicked? I'd maybe want to add a strap bc I'm paranoid. XD Great idea! Also are the rubber mats heavy in the water? Were you able to tread ok?

would e6000 work for attaching the water shoes?

I don't think e6000 would work well not for swimming that is if you had the right tools and know how you might be able to melt the bottom of the rubber shoes and fuse it with the mat but idk just a thought
