I am in desperate need of a Nook Color. I am going to California next week, and I found out that I will have to wait in the airport for a minimum of 6 hours until my fiance gets off work to pick me up. Since I have limited bag space, I desperately need a Nook. If anyone could help me out, I would REALLY appreciate it. My funds are limited to about $50 right now, but I would be able to send more once I get back on the 13th

Asking $50 is pretty optimistic for good faith over the net. Would be awesome if you could get that to work, but you should have a back up plan for sure in case you can't make it work with that plan. If you absolutely don't have any space in your carry on for a book, then find a place that sells books at the airport (they are everywhere) and buy one once you get there. Depending on how fast you read you may need 2 books, but that should keep you busy.
I don't know your situation, but with that long of a wait, if it were me I'd find something else to do in the mean time. If it were me I'd catch a bus/shuttle/taxi to some place. Get some food, explore a bit, find a book store or starbucks to hang out in. The airport is a very chaotic and draining place, sometimes just getting out of there to another place can make all the difference in how fast your wait goes by. You can always have your fiance call or text you once he's on his way and you can tell him where you are to come have him pick you up there instead.

Thanks Iona. I actually just bought one off Ebay, for about $20 more than I was hoping to pay. Its a manufacture refurbished and is guaranteed to work or money back. It should be here by the time I leave, but if not, I'll have extra money with me to buy books/magazines, or something in general to keep me occupied. I'd go explore, but cause of the area (mid San Diego) my fiance doesn't want me exploring until I have my concealed weapons permit (he's EXTREMELLY protective over me, specially since the last 4 years together have been hell of all sorts)

Yay- eBay to the rescue! So jealous about your trip. I miss San Diego like crazy. I'm a night owl and I'd be around all areas of the county at 10pm-4am on a regular basis. I carried pepper spray and a legal knife but never had to use either. Even in places that were the worst at night like Ocean Beach, El Cajon, and Logan. And I'm a total paranoid person about that kind of stuff too.
His intentions are good, but keep in mind CA gun laws are extremely strict. It's a "may issue" permit state, which means that unless you have a reason (special circumstances) they will not give you one. They're extremely hard to get in that state. Go into any gun store in CA and ask and they'll tell you how absolutely stupid it is. Some went as far as to say that it basically means that only the sheriff and his buddies get said permits. More importantly, a conceal carry permit from Oregon does not apply to CA. No other states permits apply in CA, actually. That's the reason I didn't have one when I was there, event though I had reason to want one. Now that we're in WA they're easy to get so I will have mine soon. Just thought you should know.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully it wont be too hard for me as my fiance is military (Marine Corp to be exact). But, even if I can't get it, he is going to be teaching me a LOT of the hand to hand combat stuff he has learned in the military. He just wants me to be able to take care of myself if I have to when he isn't around.
I'm excited to get there. I get to spend 6-ish days with him, and I get to go meet Shelly and a lot of the mers she knows :) Will make moving down there next fall so much easier if I know some people I can hang out with, or at least chat with. Plus will make getting jewelry and such to Shelly's shop so much easier than having to ship it
