Okay, don't think this thread is pointless. I just wanted to tell you guys how much I appreciate all of you. For the few months I've been here, I've been accepted by people like me, mermaids and mermen across the globe. I'm not afraid to admit about my mer-love in public now, thanks to you all. I'm glad and proud to be a part of this community. Thanks you fishy people <3. Keep on swimmin', Abby :)

Well I can not speak for everybody but I do know myself that being in here with other merfolk like yourself and others has boosted my self confidence as well. I am most greatful that I am here. I would not change anything. I beleive that I have friends in here an I would think that they would consider me as the same. Abby as you there are a lot of people in here that have changed my life and how I see things. An being accepted for what you and I do there is no rejection but being accepted. We shall be forever in there dept for taking us as we are. For there are alot of haters out there but we don't have to fear that in here. This may be a long shot but I see family in here. An family stick together. :) tony

I don't think this thread is pointless, Mermaid Celissa! I haven't been on here for very long, much less held a conversation with many other mers, but IMO being grateful for what you have is one of the best things a person (or mer) could ever do in his/her life :) I felt the warmth here when I joined, and I'm grateful for that. I'm glad that you found so much support here and can readily admit your mer-love.

This thread is certainly not pointless Celissa! I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way, including myself. I have been apart of this forum for a little while now and through the support and care everyone gives each other I have developed more confidence in myself, I don't have a lot, and finally being able to start talking about mermaiding in public and begin that journey to achieving my dreams. And when I have any questions everyone is there to give their advice and help or even compliments when inside I could use some. I'm pleased this community has helped you in many ways Celissa, and everyone else :)

My first post on mernetwork, I was terribly scared and nervous and I just didn't want to be rejected. Now, I know I fit in and I feel like I found a place I can freely speak my mind. Sometimes my posts are blunt or dumb or odd, but I don't feel scared posting them anymore. I love how welcome the community makes me feel. I really appreciate Star, the first mer I messages with some pretty newb questions and she answered them without ridicule. I love this network and everyone in it!
