[Clay Mermaid Sculptor]

I'm new to this site but have been a mermaid fan since I was little. I was instantly hooked like so many others as soon as I saw Disney's The little Mermaid. I also saw the movie Splash at a young age and thought that it was actually real. I can remember asking my Mom "Why don't they interview the mermaid lady and find out what it's like to be a mermaid". I also thought that it was just a matter of concentration and salt water to turn my legs into a tail, sadly this didn't work out. My other major interest is sculpting, which I've been doing since I was in second grade and went to a fine art college for. This has helped with creating a custom fish fin mono fin and casting it in a firm rubber material, it turned out well and I can actually swim fast with it. What I mostly have been working on now though is my blog where I post pictures of my mermaid and ocean themed sculptures. Here's the link to my sites, I hope you like my sculptures :)
